Is David Davis a fraud?

This afternoon David Icke was prevented from attanding a public meeting where Davis and Bob Geldof were going to 'debate' the loss of our civil liberties. When David tried to enter, having a valid ticket, the meeting suddenly turned from being a public one to a private one. David Davis is a fraud and his resignation is a scam.
And if you doubt me, read what our latest research has come up with....

oooooooooooo what a surprise, David Davis is scarrred of what David Icke knows. Davis cannot answer David Ickes Questions. David Icke is too smart for him.
David Davis is another pawn in the game of politics.
Good Luck to David icke and all that are behind him.

is the fact that David Davies is a phoney who's indulging in a pointless publicity stunt really a surprise to anybody?
David Icke went over the same stuff about the people behind David Davies in his interview on the Alex Jones show last week - downloads below (interview starts in the second segment of hour 3)....

OR maybe
David Davis and his mate Ed Vaizey having been involved with neocon links have seen the light and wannabe whistle blowers, in which case they should keep there heads down.

You could be right....but the odds are hugely against you. It's not just Vaizey, it's Michael Gove MP and Col Tim Collins as well who came up to actively support Davis. They are all original signatories to the Statement of Principles of the Henry Jackson Society, a Neocon 'think tank' set up in Britain in 2005 and named after the US senator Henry 'Scoop' Jackson, one of the iconsof the Neocon movement in the United States that has controlled the Bush administration since it came to power and orchestrated the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq and the war on terror in general.
And what about Patrick Mercer MP and his active support for Davis in the constituency. He has connections with Blue Hackle and Saladin Security, both 'Blackwater' type organisations that sell the very Big Brother surveillance and control technology that Davis is complaining about.
And what about Bilderberg attendee Shadow Chancellor George Osborne in the constituency today. These people are all operating to instructions from those in the shadows.
Sorry, but this byelection IS A SCAM. Go to
www.davidicke.com and see David's talk on Sunday to 400 people in a packed ballroom at the main local hotel in the constituency - I'm told the link will be ready later this afternoon (Tues 8 July) and it's FREE, so please watch it.
One amusing incident I hope you will all like. By clever manouvering a small group of Icke supporters/Truthers were at the location where Cameron's private helicopter was waiting to take him away after his trip to support Davis in the constituency. I went up to Cameron, shook him by the hand all friendly like, putting him at his ease. As his minders moved in to remove me, I put my arm around his shoulders and said "David, you are never going to be Prime Minister because we are going to expose you!". Just for a fleeting moment, there was a look of fear in his eyes. These people are actors - but just occasionally their masks will slip. And as for David Davis himself, we are going to make sure his moment of glory at the election count late Thursday night is bloody uncomfortable for him - he knows we are onto him and that we know their gameplan.
Tatchell on Green Party candidature

Just been sent this by Peter Tatchell. It may be of interest to readers of this thread. Of course he is a Green Party activist and prospective candidate.
Noel
Tatchell urges support for Green candidate
Haltemprice and Howden by-election
Immediate release - 8 July 2008
"It's a two-horse race. The only serious challenger to David Davis is
Shan Oakes, the Green Party candidate," says human rights campaigner
Peter Tatchell.
"The Greens are the party of universal human rights. Shan Oakes is the
best choice for voters who want to defend all our liberties and oppose
all forms of discrimination.
"Labour and the Liberal Democrats are not standing. It is a straight
contest between Davis and Oakes.
"Although Mr Davis opposes 42 days detention without charge, he
supports detaining people for up to 28 days and many other erosions of
our hard-won freedoms. He is not a true standard bearer of universal
human rights.
"If Mr Davis gets a thumping majority, it will endorse his mixed bag
of liberalism and authoritarianism. It will signal to the Conservative
Party that people are content for some of our precious liberties to be
undermined," said Mr Tatchell.

David Davis's illiberal, authoritarian record:
"David Davis supports capital punishment, 28 days detention without
charge, restrictions on the right to protest within a mile of
parliament and a ban on schools supporting gay families.
"He voted to preserve the criminal offence of blasphemy and opposed an
equal age of consent for gay men. He led the attack on the Human
Rights Act and has pledged to abolish it.
"Davis also backs control orders, which are a draconian form of house
arrest for people who have not been charged with any offence and which
can last indefinitely, even for years.

I can't see how this necessarily makes him a fraud.
He is a Tory, for God's sake. Getting well-paid 'consultancies' with big companies does not violate his ideology.
It is quite conceivable that this company wants his advice on contracts relating to 'big-brother'/surveillance issues before giving their advice to their own clients. His sensitivities might be perceived as being of value as a part of their business is giving advice to whoever is willing to pay for it.
If you accept the corporate business apparatus as a good thing....which he probably does, then he might be justified in seeing such consultancies as the perfect opportunity to use his influence within these cultures to rein back the corporate beast from possible excesses.
