LONDON (Dow Jones)--U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown said Friday that the Group of 20 industrial and developing nations should set a deadline at their next meeting for agreeing a global framework for the financial system.

Brown was speaking in London alongside other center-left European heads of government.

Earlier Friday, Brown called for a new world "constitution" to regulate the financial sector in the aftermath of the financial crisis.

The U.K. government has been among those expressing concern that the pace of financial regulatory reform has been too slow.

This is a pretty clever trick: develop a really bad, bad guy, ie the bankers. Make them rich. Then subjugate everybody else to provide vengeance.
