Liquid petroleum gas (LPG)

What's the 'deal' with LPG? Isn't it much cheaper than petrol and if so why haven't market forces made it more popular than any other fuel? I don't get it, doesn't make sense! •◘○ ☺☻♥

Less money to be made from it I guess.
