Tuesday 24th June approx. 1400 Tony Gosling and fiancee were stopped in their vehicle on the M32 motorway in Bristol by ten police officers under the authority of the Northumbria Police Major Incident Unit.

Gosling and fiancee were held at Trinity Road police station in Bristol until 1200 the next day, 25th June. Both were heavily questioned. They were each arrested three times, a total of six arrests.

The arrests in order were, Obstructing a Recovery Order, Theft of a Credit Card and then again for Obstructing a Recovery Order.

The two later arrests were made in the police station where they were still being detained for the first arrest.

The officers in command had come from Newcastle: DC 1077 Fairlamb (M) & DC 8558 Logan (F)

Gosling states that he gave police the key to his home address in Bristol. Officers battered his door down before proceeding to conviscate printed lists of contact details, two diaries, two mobile phones, a laptop and a desktop computer. These items are still being held at this time.

Gosling feels he was threatened with precocious charges. He states that he cooperated with police, but claims that his rights as a journalist were not respected. All the charges were dropped shortly before Gosling and his fiancee were released.

Several locations in and around Bristol associated with Gosling were also raided by police.

Although Gosling states that he can not confirm that the information provided to him by Bracht is genuine, he does stress the importance of sharing her allegations.

The authorities have suggested that Bracht is suffering from mental illness and has threatened to kill her own children. Gosling and others have met with Bracht and her five daughters. They report normal behaviour between Bracht and her children - this would seemingly contradict police allegations.

It is not clear at this time, but Gosling believes they have found and arrested Bracht today.

Bracht's allegations involve operations carried out on the British mainland by Israeli intelligence agents from Mossad. In particular activities at the South Gosforth Reformed Synagogue in Newcastle.

According to Bracht she has been on the run from her home in Sunderland since Libyan intelligence officers warned her that the authorities were going to arrest her and place her children in care. The Libyan agents told Bracht that her father was Moshe Baton (spelling tbc) an Israeli British intelligence officer who defected to Libya.

She believes that Mossad helped to carry out the July 7th bombings and that no Muslims are to blame.

I do not know how much of her story to believe but I was brought in to the case, in confidence, to record her version of events and I considered her to be a good and loving mother. Children naturally wanted to stay with mum. It seemed to me pretty clear that more harm was likely to come to the children from police intervention than by them staying with their mother.

To the best of my knowledge Natalie Bracht was not arrested yesterday and is still on the run with her five children.

She and the five girls had been staying for a fortnight or so 'planting potatoes' at a rural community near Yeovil in Somerset when the High Court issued this Recovery order. The community were sympathetic to her plight and supportive and her children were integrating with the community's children.

It looks like two police officers arrived at that community at roughly the time I was arrested on Tuesday 24th June (mid afternoon) and then went away giving Natalie the chance to get away again.

I want to stress now that since things have ramped up by the police and the High Court - Natalie should hand herself over to the police, allow the children to be taken into 'care', turn and face her accusers.

After the raid Northumbria police still have:-
both my mobile phones
my desktop and laptop computer
full printed list of my phone contacts
both my dairies
etc.

None of which could have been of any use in finding Natalie since I was careful not to phone her, write down where she was or type anything about her location on the computers, nor do I now know where she is.

Please do feel free to copy and repost the audio and I attach a further file of her allegations.

please don't expect me to be back here for a while but do listen to and feel free to distribute the two interviews with her - I'm sure that's what both she and the children would want.

Natalie (34) fled her home in Sunderland with her five daughters on May 17 after she was informed that all five of the girls – aged between four and 13 - were about to be taken into the care of their local authority.

Following a ruling at the High Court last week, Northumbria Police can confirm that all five of Natalie daughters are subject to Interim Care Orders.

Given the circumstances of the case and the length of time the children have been missing, a judge at the High Court decided that some details about the children's situation should be released in order to speed their safe return.

Detective Chief Inspector Roger Ford of Northumbria Police said: "We went to the High Court last week because we felt that it would help our search for the girls and their mother if the public knew they should be in the care of their local authority.

"Natalie, who has been previously assessed as having a Histrionic Personality Disorder, has now been missing with her daughters from their home in the North East of England since May 17.

Natalie was initially traced to the Harlesden area of London and from there officers have traced her to a commune near Yeovil, in which area police are now focusing their efforts.

"We are now working with our colleagues from Avon and Somerset Constabulary to try and find Natalie as soon as possible.

"Natalie still does not appear to have access to much money, certainly not enough to look after herself and her five children. Nor does she appear to have any family connections in the area.

"The bottom line is that these kids should not be in her care, my message to Natalie is that this has gone on long enough, it is time to give yourself up."

Police trying to trace a mentally-ill mother who went on the run with her five daughters last month have arrested a West journalist whom she went to for help.

Freelance journalist Tony Gosling, from Bristol, was arrested along with his fianc??e on Tuesday, on the M5, when he was stopped by 10 police officers under the authority of Northumbria Police's major incident unit.

They were held at Trinity Road police station until midday on Wednesday after being heavily questioned.

Natalie Bracht, 34, fled her home in Sunderland after she was told all five of her girls, aged between four and 13, were about to be taken into care.

The family has been at large since May 17, but yesterday police said she had been linked with a commune near Yeovil, Somerset, before once again disappearing.

It was while staying at the well-known eco-commune Tinker's Bubble that it is believed Ms Bracht went to Mr Gosling for help.

Last week a High Court judge ruled that all five of Ms Bracht's daughters are subject to interim care orders.

The judge said some details about the children's situation should be released to speed their safe return.

Ms Bracht is believed to have gone to Mr Gosling, 46, in confidence to tell her side of the story.

But after finding out about the West journalist's links to the missing woman, he says officers battered down his door before confiscating printed lists of contact details, two diaries, two mobile phones, a laptop and a desktop computer.

These items are still being held. All the charges were dropped shortly before Mr Gosling and his fianc??e were released.

Several locations in and around Bristol associated with Mr Gosling were also raided by police.

Mr Gosling told the Western Daily Press: "My feeling now is that Natalie should hand herself in, this has gone too far. It's almost like she's playing into the hands of the authorities now.

"When I met her I felt like she was a competent mother, and her children were some of the most behaved I have ever met. They were happy in the situation they were in.

"I can't really rely on anything she said because I am not qualified, I can just rely on my assessment. She came to me in confidence. I took the children apart and asked them what they wanted out of this situation.

"It was very clear to me that they don't like the social services, and that they were really intrusive.

"She and the five girls had been staying for a fortnight or so 'planting potatoes' at a rural community near Yeovil in Somerset when the High Court issued this recovery order."

I am not sure if this a genuine question, but the answer is no, obviously not.

There are many thousands of persons missing at any one time and there would be quite a few boxes that would need ticking to deem it part of a major incident. Different forces have difering criteria to fulfill, but the number of children involved would in my opinion, escalate its profile from just the routine missing husband reported over the front desk.

I would guess that Social Services/equivalent have kicked up a storm and that, combined with multi-agency/force involvement called for a quick resolution by the softest of questionable means.

Yes they did,

It has turned out that the police were told the name of the farm where Natalie and the children were believed to be at about 9am on Tuesday, well before I was even arrested. They sent two uniformed plod there who went away empty handed thus warning Natalie they may be on to her and presumably giving her time to get away.

Once I knew the police had the name of the place where I believed she may still be... I offered to go there with DS Logan, the Head Case Officer (or whatever they call it), with the police to help reduce the trauma of any possible arrest. Logan told me her 'boss' had said they couldn't do that late on Tuesday evening and though they promised to take me there on Wednesday morning no one showed and I was released around 12 on Wed.

When the detectives found themselves interviewing Marie Antoinnette at the Glastonbury festival they knew the trail had gone cold and returned to Newcastle.

I now have my computers, diaries and mobiles back.

As regards publishing the two Natalie interviews on mp3 I was told on Thursday that she probably had been arrested and decided to publish then. I stand by that decision as I believe that's what she would have wished.

I'll file a full report later in the week.
