The leader of Yemen’s popular Ansarullah movement has called upon Muslim nations worldwide to join forces against Israel to remove it from the Palestinian territories of the occupied West Bank, and East Jerusalem al-Quds.
Speaking in a televised address broadcast from the Yemeni capital city of Sana’a on Thursday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi urged Muslims to mobilize against enemies, and called for the total boycott of the Tel Aviv regime.
He lambasted some Arab states over striking US-sponsored normalization deals with Israel, saying, “Those who collaborate with the United States and Israel are committing crimes against the peoples of the [Middle East] region.”
He went on to say that Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are openly pushing Arab and Muslim nations to surrender and demonstrate loyalty to the US and Israel, and to express hostility towards the resistance front.
“The factor that prevented the Israeli enemy from invading and usurping other [Muslim] lands was initially the Lebanese resistance front, followed by Palestinian resistance factions,” Houthi noted.
The Ansarullah chief then praised Iran as the main supporter of resistance front in the region. Houthi also highlighted that Washington and Tel Aviv have used Takfiri terrorists to create rifts among Muslim nations.
“The Takfiri conspiracy that targeted Syria, Hezbollah and the Iraqi people was a plot at the service of the United States and Israel,” the Ansarullah head said. Houthi stated that Palestinian resistance fighters pulled off a clear victory in the latest round of Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
“The successive victories of the resistance [front] in the Gaza Strip are important, and send very clear signs and messages. The anti-resistance conspiracies started soon after disclosure of successes and the fact that such models of steadfastness and resilience have defeated Israel,” he pointed out.
Houthi went on to say that Saudi and Emirati media outlets took up a hostile position towards Palestinian resistance factions during the 11-way Israeli military onslaught on the Gaza Strip, as if they were the allies and followers of the Tel Aviv regime.
“During the Operation al-Quds Sword, Saudi and Emirati media spoke out against the resistance front and tried to downplay its achievements… Some regimes and governments are even trying to normalize their relations with Israel at the cultural level. This is in favor of Zionists, and their dominance over Arab Muslim nations in all areas and fields," he pointed out.
“Zionists are trying to establish official relations with Arab countries and end their diplomatic isolation. The Israeli enemy is trying to overcome its boycott, including economic bans.
“There is no justification for those who capitulated to the Zionist enemy and were part of its conspiracies,” Houthi said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Ansarullah leader highlighted that Washington sought to shape the destiny and loot natural resources of Arab and Muslim countries in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks in New York City. “The fight against terror was an excuse for US intervention in all cultural, intellectual, media, political and economic spheres,” he said. Houthi stressed that Iran, together with Lebanese and Palestinian resistance groups, has always stood firm in its opposition of US hegemony and the Israeli regime.

In the aftermath of an off-the-cuff remark made by US President Joe Biden about Russian President Vladimir Putin (“For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power!”) which many believed articulated a policy of regime change, Secretary of State Antony Blinken was compelled to issue a public clarification. “We do not,” Blinken told reporters,
“have a strategy of regime change in Russia or anywhere else for that matter.”
Tell that to the supporters of Pakistan’s former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, who this past weekend was removed from power after a vote of no confidence in the Pakistani Parliament which many believe was orchestrated by the United States, who had grown increasingly wary of the former cricket star’s criticism of US policy in the region and the world.
The constitutional crisis which brought down Imran Khan will shape how Pakistan will fit into a new world order that is emerging from the fallout of Russia’s incursion into Ukraine. At the heart of Pakistani crisis is the worsening of the country’s relations with the US. This relationship has always had an element of tension that had been covered over through the maintenance of an alliance of convenience which emerged in the aftermath of 9/11, where both Pakistan and the US found common cause in the defeat of radical Islamic fundamentalism in neighboring Afghanistan. The inability of the US-led coalition to defeat the Taliban in Afghanistan led to a growing bitterness inside Pakistan, creating the conditions for Imran Khan’s rise to power in 2018. Khan was supported by the Pakistani military and intelligence services who, like Khan, had grown weary of an American “forever war” in Afghanistan which had bled over onto Pakistani soil, leading to tens of thousands of deaths and domestic unrest.
The current sour state of US-Pakistani relations more fully manifested itself after the withdrawal of US and NATO forces from Afghanistan in August 2020, and the subsequent Taliban victory. It was furthered when, on the eve of Russia’s incursion into Ukraine, Khan visited Moscow for a high-profile meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The meeting had been planned months prior, long before to the Russian decision to carry out its military operation in Ukraine. According to a statement made to the Pakistani Parliament on the eve of its no-confidence vote, the outgoing Foreign Minister, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, a close political ally of Khan who serves as the vice-chairman of Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party, “the national security adviser of the United States [Jake Sullivan] called our national security adviser [Moeed Yusuf] and categorically asked us not to proceed with the Russia tour.”
From the Pakistani point of view, the purpose of the delegation was to advocate dialogue and diplomacy, with Pakistan remaining a neutral party to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. “Where in the world does any sovereign state gets direction from other countries and which independent country accepts such directions?” Qureshi declared.
At the heart of Khan’s push to avoid a no-confidence vote in the Parliament was his assertion that the US has promised “severe consequences” for Pakistan if Khan was not removed from office through Parliamentarian action. According to Khan, Donald Lu, the Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs, issued this warning to the Pakistani Ambassador to the US, Asad Majeed Khan, on March 7, 2022.
A US State Department spokesperson, Jalina Porter, noted in response that “there is absolutely no truth to these allegations.”
Imran Khan and his political allies have used the allegations of US interference to justify the dismissal of a vote of no confidence in the National Assembly the lower chamber of Pakistani parliament, where, because of recent defections, Khan’s party had lost majority control. Pakistan’s President, Arif Alvi, a close political ally of Khan, dissolved the Assembly and called for new elections in 90 days. Khan’s political opponents have questioned the constitutionality of these actions, and the case was subsequently heard by the Pakistani Supreme Court.
Khan’s conspiracy theories regarding US interference were mooted by the Pakistan Chief Justice, Jamal Khan Mandokhail, who questioned whether Khan had a right to discuss the reason behind the no-confidence vote, noting that the decision to have such a vote was derived from the fact that Khan’s party had lost its parliamentary majority, and not because of any foreign interference. The Supreme Court eventually ruled against Khan, paving the way for the vote of no-confidence.
Even with this set-back, Khan was not yet finished with his bid to try and hold onto power. Recognizing the reality that any challenge to the Supreme Court’s ruling is doomed, Khan sought to bring the powerful Pakistani Army and intelligence services on his side. Khan issued orders to replace the incumbent Chief of the Army Staff, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, with the former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief, Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed, who had been appointed as Peshawar Corps Commander back in October 2021. Hameed was seen as someone who was more sympathetic to Khan’s position that the US was interfering with the internal affairs of Pakistan.
Pakistan won’t accept ‘imported government’ – Khan
Khan had been swept into power in 2018 on the strength of a third-party ticket that had the support of the Army. However, since that time, relations between him and his military had soured, reaching a culminating point when, last year, Khan opposed the appointment of Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum, an acolyte of General Bajwa, as the new head of the ISI. Khan eventually relented, but not before drawing the ire of Bajwa, who began making public pronouncements critical of Khan’s policies toward India and Afghanistan. The animosity between Khan and Bajwa came to a head when, in late March 2022, Bajwa informed Khan that the Army was taking a neutral stance on the issue of the no-confidence vote, and that the Army did not agree with Khan’s assessment regarding US interference in the affairs of Pakistan.
Khan’s last-ditch attempt to replace Bajwa with his ally Hameed failed, and Khan had no choice but to respect the instructions of the Supreme Court and allow the vote of no confidence to proceed, leading to his ouster from office. Pakistani politics is a rough and tumble sport that leaves many of its participants bloodied, imprisoned, or dead. Khan’s tumultuous tenure as Prime Minister was no exception to this rule. Many of Khan’s problems were derived from his failure as a politician, leading to economic difficulties in Pakistan that undermined his popularity. Khan opted to exploit his populist approach to governing by using the collapse of the US position in Afghanistan to promulgate policies which sought to break with Pakistan’s history of leaning toward the West. These policies put him at odds with the Army and his political opposition, creating the ideal conditions for the implementation of classic US “soft power” tactics which rely on using US economic pressure to achieve a domestic political result.
To claim that the US was solely responsible for Imran Khan’s political demise is to depart from reality—Khan, in playing the anti-West populist card had sown the wind, and the negative reaction from the Army and the Pakistani population was the whirlwind he subsequently reaped. On the other hand, simply writing off Khan’s claims of undue influence is premature. To pretend that the US did not seek to exploit Pakistani domestic turmoil to push Khan from power likewise ignores the reality of US regime change policy today.
Soft-power regime change is about not being obvious—it is by design intended to exploit domestic political frailties and weaknesses to produce an outcome that shields the US from direct blame—hence the characteristic non-denial denials, where Washington doesn’t deny the Sullivan and Lu interactions with their Pakistani counterparts, only the malign intent attached to those conversations by Imran Khan.
Gone are the days of supporting military strongmen—US regime change policy today is executed using the tool of “democracy”, underwriting so-called “color revolutions” to remove elected officials who have run afoul of American geopolitical objectives. While the no-confidence vote that removed Imram Khan from power has not been formally designated as a “color revolution”, it achieved the same result. Simply put, if the US diplomatic interventions were, as Khan claimed, intended to hasten his departure from office, it would be regime change by any other name, despite Antony Blinken’s denials to the contrary. The fact that this conclusion is up for dispute can either be linked to the imagination of Khan, or the effectiveness of the US government in creating plausible deniability. One fact that is not in dispute is that the US is relieved not to have to deal with Pakistan’s populist former Prime Minister going forward.

The sea of humanity that poured into the streets of different cities in Pakistan must have stunned the powers that be. Imran Khan may have woken up the Pakistani giant. It will be difficult to tame or subdue unless American-installed puppets are removed from power.
America—and the Pakistan army—may have got rid of Imran Khan and put a government of their choice in power but riding the Pakistani tiger will not be easy.
The odd assortment of opposition parties cobbled together under the watchful gaze of the army and amply rewarded by American largesse were united on one point: ouster of Imran Khan as prime minister. Going forward will not be easy no matter how much the establishment may paper over the differences.The three main parties—Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), and Muttahida Majlis-e Amal (MMA)—that joined hands to topple Imran Khan’s government have nothing in common.
In the past, they have called their opponents thieves and rapists. These are all true. The ruthlessly ambitious opportunistic politicians will soon be at each other’s throats. It would be fool-hardy to predict that these parties would get along and last until August 2023 when elections are officially due.
The party leaders and their mouth-pieces in the media kept on harping on the allegation that Imran Khan did not do anything during his three-year rule. This is true.Imran Khan did not steal or open bank accounts abroad. He did not buy properties abroad (Avenfield Flats, anyone? How about Surrey Estates?) He did not murder anyone nor did he allow the Americans to carry out drone attacks against Pakistani citizens or use Pakistani territory to attack Afghanistan. And, he did not lick the Americans’ boots either. These are considered major sins in Pakistan.
When people get used to living as slaves, freedom is difficult to appreciate. Bilawal Zardari’s chortling in the National Assembly after the no-confidence vote against Imran Khan in the early hours of April 10 that ‘purana Pakistan’ is back meant that the days of slavery to America and plunder of state resources are here again. This is how his mother, father and both of his grand-fathers stole tons of money.
Asif Ali Zardari, a venal character, has little formal education. He is a feudal lord of very low IQ. During his wife’s two stints as prime minister, Zardari earned the epithet, ‘Mr. Ten Percent’. He took 10% commission on every project that was approved. In league with that other lowly creature, Fazlur Rahman (it is an insult to call him a maulana), Zardari used to smuggle diesel from Iran. Hence, he earned the title, ‘maulana diesel’.
As for the Sharif family—names can be very deceptive—they are a bunch of crooks.The former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif—doyen of the family—fled the country feigning low platelets.
He is, however, barred from holding political office because he has been convicted of fraud, as is his dim-witted daughter Maryam Nawaz. Pakistan’s newly-minted prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, installed through courtesy of America, not only faces money-laundering charges but was also responsible for the murder of a dozen innocent people in 2014.These will now be thrown out the window.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan that so enthusiastically took up the National Assembly deputy speaker’s dismissal of the no-confidence motion, has shown no interest in the murder charges against Shehbaz Sharif. This is not surprising. The chief justice, Umar Ata Bandial is related to leading lights in the PML-N through marriage.It’s all in the family!
Imran Khan had said that he was ousted from power through a foreign conspiracy. His opponents have ridiculed his claim. Is it too much to understand that America has been carrying out coups in other countries for decades? Here is a short list: Iran (1953); Guatemala (1954); Vietnam (1963); Indonesia (1966); Chile (1973) and Ukraine (2014).
Why is it so far-fetched to believe that America wanted Imran Khan out because he was showing too much independence and that too of the wrong type: couching his defiance in Islamic terms. His replacement, Shehbaz Sharif has already said, “Beggars can’t be choosers”.
He wants Pakistanis to remain as America’s beggars. This is his natural habitat.
The late Malcolm X had described such people as House Negroes as opposed to Field Negroes. The House Negro identified totally with the slave master while the Field Negro was the rebel, always trying to escape from slavery. If the slave master was sick, the House Negro would say: “What’s the matter master, are we sick?” This is what Shehbaz Sharif and the Pakistani established are doing. Their comfort zone is that of House Negroes of the American slave master.
They will, however, face a formidable challenge from the Pakistani masses that seem to have woken up and are overwhelmingly supportive of Imran Khan. This was immediately evident on April 10 night when millions of people across Pakistan in cities big and small, poured out into the street to express support for Imran Khan. Similar rallies were organized in other parts of the world including Dubai, London, Washington DC and Toronto.
It is clear that Imran Khan enjoys widespread support among the Pakistani masses. This, however, may turn out to be a double-edged sword for him.If the powers that be want to keep him out, they will likely subvert the process of elections. There are also fears that Imran Khan might be assassinated to get him out of the way. Should any of these options be exercised, there is no doubt that the country will erupt into total chaos. The responsibility for such eventuality will fall squarely on the shoulders of those that go down this route. Pakistan is heading into uncharted territory. For their petty personal ambitions, America’s slaves have put Pakistan’s very survival at risk.

International backlash is growing against India after a ruling party official made Islamophobic comments during a televised debate, with Qatar and several other Muslim nations lodging official protests against New Delhi and demanding a “public apology”.
At least five Arab nations have lodged official protests against India, and Pakistan and Afghanistan also reacted strongly on Monday to the comments made by two members of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Anger has poured out on social media, and calls for a boycott of Indian goods have surfaced in some Arab countries. Al Jazeera TV on Monday reported that Indian products were removed from shelves in some shops in Kuwait.
The criticism from Muslim countries had been severe, indicating that insulting Prophet Muhammad is a red line. The anger has been growing since last week after the two BJP members – national spokeswoman Nupur Sharma and Delhi BJP staff Naveen Jindal – made remarks that were seen as insulting Prophet Muhammad and his wife Aisha.
Modi’s party took no action against them until Sunday when a chorus of diplomatic outrage began with Qatar and Kuwait summoning their Indian ambassadors to protest.
‘Systemic hate speech’
In a statement, Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi said “these insulting remarks would lead to incitement of religious hatred, and offend more than two billion Muslims around the world”.
Doha is expecting “a public apology and immediate condemnation of these remarks” from the Indian government, said the statement, which came as India’s Vice President Venkaiah Naidu visited the wealthy Gulf state on Sunday in a bid to bolster trade.
In a tweet, Qatar’s Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah al-Khater said: “The Islamophobic discourse has reached dangerous levels in a country long known for its diversity and coexistence. Unless officially and systemically confronted, the systemic hate speech targeting Islam in India will be considered a deliberate insult against two billion Muslims.”
Kuwait warned that if the comments against Prophet Muhammad go unpunished, India would see “an increase of extremism and hatred”. The grand mufti of the sultanate of Oman described the “obscene rudeness” of Modi’s party towards Islam as a form of “war”. And Saudi Arabia said the comments were “insulting” and called for “respect for beliefs and religions” as it and Iran lodged complaints with India.
The Jeddah-based Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said the remarks came in a “context of intensifying hatred and abuse toward Islam in India and systematic practices against Muslims”. India’s foreign ministry on Monday rejected comments by the OIC as “unwarranted” and “narrow-minded”. The anti-Islam remarks also led to anger in India’s archrival and neighbour Pakistan and in Afghanistan.
On Monday, Pakistan’s foreign ministry summoned an Indian diplomat and conveyed Islamabad’s “strong condemnation”, a day after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the comments were “hurtful” and that “India under Modi is trampling religious freedoms and persecuting Muslims”.
The Taliban government in Afghanistan said India should not allow “such fanatics to insult … Islam and provoke the feelings of Muslims”. Anti-Muslim sentiments and attacks have risen across India under Modi .
‘Too little, too late’
India’s embassy in Qatar released a statement on Sunday, saying the views expressed against the Prophet and Islam were not that of the Indian government but were made by “fringe elements”.
The statement said strong action had already been taken against those who made the derogatory remarks. In another statement, India’s foreign ministry on Sunday said the offensive tweets and comments did not, in any way, reflect the views of the government. As anger in Gulf states grew, the BJP suspended Sharma and expelled Jindal for hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims who make up about 14 percent of India’s 1.35 billion people.
Reporting from New Delhi, Al Jazeera’s Pavni Mittal said the BJP members’ remarks put India in a “very embarrassing position” and that the Indian government is attempting “damage control”. But critics say the actions are “too little, too late”. “And that goes back to a history of its (BJP’s) top leaders making inflammatory, anti-Islamic and anti-minority comments openly, and getting away with it pretty easily,” Mittal said. “A few months ago, there were leaders that called for genocide and violence against Muslims in public meetings, and rights groups that pointed this out in reports have been met with a lot of resistance. In fact, they saw their offices either shut or foreign funding frozen.”
Protests were held on Monday against the anti-Muslim remarks in the financial capital Mumbai and other Indian cities, while dozens of people were arrested for rioting in the northern city of Kanpur. India’s old ties with the Gulf
The remarks made by Sharma during a TV programme and Jindal in a now-deleted tweet risk damaging India’s strong relations with many Arab nations. India’s trade with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, stood at approximately $90bn in 2020-2021. Many Gulf states rely on millions of migrant workers from India and elsewhere in South Asia to serve their tiny local populations and drive the machinery of daily life.
In recent years, Prime Minister Modi has strengthened economic ties with the energy-rich nations, the top source for the country’s fuel imports.
A senior official at the Qatari embassy in New Delhi said Modi’s government must publicly distance itself from the comments. “Hurting our religious sentiments can directly impact economic ties,” the official said, adding they were checking reports about a boycott of Indian goods by some supermarket owners in Qatar. Katju, the former Indian diplomat, said there is a “mutuality of interest between India and the Gulf”.
“And that interest is shown in the growing relationship between India and the Gulf states. I don’t see that is going to go away because of this incident,” he told Al Jazeera.
Anti-Muslim sentiments and attacks have risen across India under Modi as Hindu nationalists feel emboldened by his regular silence on such attacks since he was first elected in 2014. Over the years, Indian Muslims have been often targeted for everything from their food and clothing to inter-religious marriages and places of worship.
Watchdog groups such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International have warned that attacks could escalate, while a leading expert on political violence earlier this year said India is on the cusp of a genocide of Muslims. Rights groups have accused the BJP of looking the other way and sometimes enabling hate speech against Muslims. Modi’s party denies the accusations, but India’s Muslims say attacks against them and their faith have become relentless.
Last week, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said India was seeing “rising attacks on people and places of worship”, to which New Delhi responded, calling the comments “ill-informed”. More recently, religious tensions have escalated after some Hindu groups went to a court in the northern city of Varanasi to seek permission to pray at a 17th-century mosque, claiming that it was built by demolishing a temple.
Critics say these tensions have been further exacerbated by India’s TV channel anchors during raucous debates. The BJP’s Sharma had made the comments against Prophet Muhammad during one such debate.

REMEMBRANCE OF ALLAH (DHIKR AND TAKBIR) IN DHUL HIJJAH
There are many ways in which you can increase in reward during Dhul Hijjah. Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) is one of the easiest ways to obtain reward from Allah. It is highly recommended Sunnah of our Prophet (S.A.W.) to recite following Dhikr during the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah:
Tasbeeh (SubhanAllah)
Tahmeed (Alhamdulillah)
Tahleel (Laa ilaaha ill-Allah)
Takbeer (Allahu Akbar)
"Abu Hurairah said that the “days well-known” are the first ten days of Dhul- Hijjah while the “prescribed number of days” are the Days of Tashriq (9th to 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) and these are days of eating and drinking. It means that you cannot fast on Eid-ul-Adha and following three days i-e 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah. During days of Tashriq, Ibn-Omar and Abu-Hurairah used to go to the marketplace reciting Takbir (Allahu Akbar) and people followed their example.
During the days of Tashriq, it is necessary for every Muslim (male or female, whether praying in congregation or alone) to say the following Takbir (Takbirs of Tashriq) immediately after each obligatory (fard) prayer from the Fajr Prayer on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah to the Asr Prayer on the 13th of Dhul Hijjah. Thus, these takbirs last 5 days, and 23 prayers.
RIGHTEOUS DEEDS DURING THE MONTH OF DHUL-HIJJAH
Dhul Hijjah is one of the most glorious months in Islam. Allah says:
“Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him]”. (Surah At-Taubah: 9:36)
As narrated by Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A.), Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) said:
"The division of time has turned to its original form which was current when Allah created the Heavens and the Earths. The year is of twelve months, out of which four months are sacred: Three are in succession Dhul Qadah, Dhul Hijjah and Muharram, and (the fourth is) Rajab of (the tribe of) Mudar which comes between Jumada Al-Akhirah and Shaban." (Sahih Al-Bukhari: 3197)
In the month of Dzul Hijjah there are days selected by Allah as the best days of the year. God said:
"By dawn, and the tenth night" (Surah Al-Fajr: 89:1-2)
Scholars differ in opinion in determining the 10 nights that God meant in the verse. The interpretation of the scholars of the tafsir to the three opinions:
First: the first 10 days of the month of Dzul Hijjah.
Second: last 10 nights of Ramadan.
Third: the first 10 days of the month of Muharram.
Most Ulama (Scholars) agree that what is meant in this Ayat is the first 10 days of the month of Dhul Hijjah.
Narrated Ibn Abbas (R.A.), who said that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) said:
"No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)." Then some companions (Sahaba) of the Prophet (S.A.W.) said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things." (Sahih Al-Bukhari: 969)
The above Hadith shows how importance is for a Muslim to do good deeds during the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.
There have been many other narrations that indicate the worshipping efforts exerted by our predecessors during these days. Said ibn- Jubayr, one of the leading members of the Tabiin (companion of Sahaba), used to advise people not to sleep a lot during these nights and spend them in prayer.
CELEBRATING EID-UL-ADHA AND SACRIFICING ANIMALS
(10TH OF DHUL HIJJAH)
The month of Dhul Hijjah, apart from the month of Hajj, is also called the month of the sacrifice, due to the large number of sacrificial animals slaughtered during the month.Muslims celebrate Eid-ul-Adha on 10th of Dhul Hijjah. Eid-ul-Adha is the celebration of sacrifice and remember the spirit of Prophet Abraham (A.S.) as how he was willing to sacrifice the person he loved the most, because it was Allah's command which he had to obey no matter what..
It was narrated from Abu Huraira (R.A.) that the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) said:
“Whoever can afford to offer a sacrifice but does not do so, let him not approach our place of prayer.” (Ibn Majah: 3123)
The Hadith narrates that whoever does not offer a sacrifice in spite of being capable of doing so, does not have the right to participate in the joys of the Muslims. It does not mean that he is not required to perform the Eid prayer, but it is to warn him to avoid abandoning the sacrifice.
Sacrifice (Qurbani) can only be performed after the Eid-ul-Adha prayers from the 10th of Dhul Hijjah to the 12th of Dhul Hijjah.
]It is necessary for the one who intends to offer the sacrifice that he/she does not remove any hair, nail or skin from the sunset on last day of Dhul Qadah until the sacrifice is done on the Eid day. The same is evident from following Hadith:
It was narrated from Ummm Salamah (R.A.) that the Prophet said:
"Whoever sees the new crescent of Dhul Hijjah and wants to offer a sacrifice, let him not remove any of his hair or nails until he has offered the sacrifice." (Sunnan An-Nisai: 4366)]
