I was given this site address by someone who is already a member. I met up with that person last week after finding a flyer they had printed about setting up a Liverpool based Truth group.They don't have much internet access unfortunately so, because I have more, I'm here to ask anyone who knows for tips and hints, and to drum up any local (Liverpool England) support and interest.We have a day planned as a meeting at a Merseyside pub on the 25th of January.We are working on a running order and leaflets and tickets and a very special surprise guest...watch this space.Please leave any related comments.Cheers.

Welcome to this site and I hope your group gets going okay. I am intrigued who the surprise guest will be.

I am also in the process of setting up a Reading group. I already have a website and may try to plan for an event in January.

Good to see that things are beginning to happen in Liverpool. Sounds like you know what you are doing already!

Here's a few tips in getting started;

Get to know other people's skills within the group, and also any contacts they might have that would be useful.

Keep in contact with other groups via this website; there are plenty of use how would be willing to help or give advice. You would be welcome to come to any of our meetings or events to see how we do it. Hopefully we can get together in the new year to organise a NW regional event.

Use diverse tactics. This way you will be more effective in fighting the enemy.

Interlace your movie screenings/meetings with forms of entertainment such as music. Have fun!

This is a good way of getting and maintaining attention, and ensures you don't just become just a political talking shop.

Once established truth groups get set up in Liverpool and Manchester the campaign in the north really promises to step up a gear.

To build up a group its worth trailing through the 47 pages of members and pming those in your area. There are quite a number of names on the lists with location as Manchester, Wirral, Liverpool, though many people who register dont identify their location.

Surprised that we have not got a Geordie 911 truth group yet! Anyone care to e mail Jimmy Nail!

Yes a Northern gathering: north west/north east and Scotland in February next year would be cool, ready for the showing of Loose Change final cut in the Spring!

2007 promises to be an even better year for the 911 Truth campaign.

Lets work together, pool our skills, be creative and make it happen.

Thanks to everyone for your comments and messages. Good ideas and support all round. Hopefully we can drum up enough local support in these initial stages. The next few weeks will be key in just what kind of event we can organise to forward the movement.Once again cheers.

How about an informal meeting in a pub? It would be good to bring everyone together. Dave and I are doing a talk in Manchester the next day. We would love to come up a day early and say hi.

There's quite a few isolated and scattered individuals who need some focus as well as established groups needing to coordinate their efforts

Sounds like a good idea. There are three here who would like to meet up from Wirral/N Wales. a central Liverpool venue would be fine for us.

Just name the time and place and we'll be there.

Happy New Year Truthseekers!

We're still looking to keep the momentum going for this to be more of a formal event for the 25th, in the hope that having Annie and David there will help to raise the Movement's profile and encourage newcomers and perhaps even local media to highlight the cause and its key points. We've contacted members who've shown interest so far to see if they fancy catching up informally before this point to help pool ideas and enthusiasm.

If anyone reading this would like to be involved in a central Liverpool meeting between and including the 6th and 12th January please PM us with your available date and we will post the informal Liverpool meeting times and venue as soon as we've heard from all those we've contacted and worked out the best date for everyone.

We've secured a venue of 110 seating room and really feel like this is the best opportunity to make the most of Annie and David being kind enough to attend.

Once again thanks for the words of encouragement and here's to the start of a bustling new Liverpool Truth Movement !

Also, we are all booked for the weekend of 27th and 28th of Jan in Blackpool.

Accommodation and food has been organised for those travelling from other parts of the country and a series of workshops are being set up for the weekend.

This is mainly for committed activists to network and increase skill sets. Full details will be in the mailing list in due course.
