payne stewart question
does anyone know how long it took for norad to intercepte the jet because i thouht it was 21 minutes but people are saying it was 1 hour and 22 minutes
Re: payne stewart question
The latter is the answer, plus or minus a tad.PatrickBatemen wrote:does anyone know how long it took for norad to intercepte the jet because i thouht it was 21 minutes but people are saying it was 1 hour and 22 minutes
It's often miscalculated. The report the timings are taken from at
http://www.ntsb.gov/Publictn/2000/AAB0001.htm
changes time-zones part way through the time line, and it's very easy to miss.
So remember - next time you can't find a parking spot, go to plan B: blow up your car

Because the plane was in a different time zone by then. Have you followed the link to the report? The plane was flying W from Florida to Texas.PatrickBatemen wrote:why did it change time zones, are you sure the actual elapsed time between lose of communications and interception was 1hr 22 minutes, that cant be rightIgnatz wrote:The latter is the answer, plus or minus a tad.PatrickBatemen wrote:does anyone know how long it took for norad to intercepte the jet because i thouht it was 21 minutes but people are saying it was 1 hour and 22 minutes
