'7/7 has been solved: 'Investigative Journalist' Iain Overton'
No 7/7 investigation needed - journalism chief Iain Overton
I've recently had an enlightening email correspondance with Iain Overton who describes himself as an investigative journalist. Editor-in-chief in fact of a prestigious new London organisation calling itself the Bureau Of Investigative Journalism.
Yes, we need aggressive investigative journalism digging out the truth, attacking fascist tendencies in the intelligence world, lying think tanks such as Policy Exchange, Private Military Companies and big business.Editor: Iain Overton
Iain is the Editor of the Bureau. Prior to this, he was a commissioning executive at ITN and a senior producer at the BBC.
His previous work includes investigations into the international trade in counterfeit pharmaceuticals, corporate killings in Iraq, human rights abuses by the Brazilian police and Glasgow gang-land murders linked to security contracts.
He has worked in over 85 countries around the world and his films have been awarded a Peabody Award, a OneWorld Award and a BAFTA Scotland, amongst others.

But Iain Overton decided to turn on me. An out-of-work, struggling journalist who has put together some of the most damning evidence linking the Israeli military through corrupt Israeli based security firms Verint Systems and Comverse Technologies, and secret state to organised crime and the London Bombings of 2005. And had his analysis pinched by Nazi Apologist Nick Kollerstrom & published in 'Terror On The Tube' as if it was Nick's work.

According to Iain Overton is is 'absurd' and 'offensive' to so much as suggest that there was more to the 7/7 London Bombings that the four culprits who were announced by Sir Ian Blair as such at a press conference.
It troubles Iain Overton not one jot that due legal process has been subverted and that there has been no public enquiry into these attacks.
So, how did he become editor-in-chief of this well funded new Bureau? Does it have more in common under Iain Overton's editorial leadership with the crooked FBI than the finest traditions of British Investigative Journalism that brought us Death On The Rock and Secret Society?
I circulated to him and several other investigative journalists an email entitled "7/7 bombings, the wrong story? Time to investigate!" with links suggesting they might like to watch and consider Amina Taylor's Press TV fifth anniversary documentary about 7/7.

He was the only one to reply with such an aggressive denial that there could be anything to investigate. And he the editor-in-chief of the newly formed London Bureau of Investigative Journalism. How strange.
Anyway here's whay he had to say to my polite but firm emails on Sunday 8th and Monday 9th August 2010:
So who are the people behind the 7/7 bombings if not "Asian blokes"?
Masons? MI6? Mossad?
I am worried that the entertaining of conspiracy theories does a disservice to the dignity of the dead. Aren't you?
Iain Overton
Dear Tony,
No journalist I know and trust would suggest anything but that Mohammad Sidique Khan, Shehzad Tanweer, Germaine Lindsay and Hasib Mir Hussain were responsible for the 7/7 bombings. I assume these were the 'Asian blokes' that you flippantly referred to. And I do believe that suggesting that they were not the killers is a disservice to those that they murdered.
Correcting you on that is a responsibility I feel I owe those dead.
I consider this conversation at an end unless you have something more informative to say than 'not everyone out there on the streets believes'.
Iain
Dear Tony
I have watched the documentary now. And I still stand by what I say.
Also saying things like 'self-respecting' journalist is effectively saying that I am not one. You are effectively accusing me of being closed minded. You don't know me from Adam, so please leave off the personal attacks.
You have no idea what I have done and what journalism I have undertaken in my career to address issues of racism and bigotry.
But I see how easy it is for you to verbally abuse those who don't stand with your views. Look in the mirror, my friend, look in the mirror.
I do approach things with an open mind. Then I make an informed stand on the position. You know my position and it has not changed. Bad things are done by bad people. But that never implies a whole nationality, creed or peoples are bad.
In future, please don't email me implying I am what I am not. It is both rude and unecessary.
Iain
