A TV ad for computer game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, that featured violent scenes of cities under armed attack has been banned by the advertising watchdog for being “harmful and offensive” to younger viewers.

The ad featured cities including London, New York City and Paris under military assault with buildings catching fire and soldiers and vehicles firing weapons. A voiceover stated: “The world as you knew it is gone. How far will you go to bring it back?”.

Curiously, the largest uranium mine in the world, in Australia, is called 'Olympic Dam'.

Ed Miliband's G4S nightmare over party conference security
http://www.newstatesman.com/politics/politics/2012/07/eds-g4s-security -party-conference?
Published 25 July 2012 - By Kevin Maguire Published 25 July 2012

Ed Miliband may have left himself exposed after demanding that G4S, winner of Olympic gold for corporate incompetence, be suspended from bidding for public contracts. The name of the firm hired to provide security at this autumn’s Labour conference? G4S. Should Ed Mili hear the snap of rubber gloves being pulled on for a strip search after he’s called out of the line, he should take it personally.
David Cameron will be shedding no tears this summer for Bob Diamond. Indeed, I hear the Prime Spinner chuckled when the shamed former Barclays boss proved Diamonds aren’t for ever. The PM has the prodigious memory of an elephant and the thin skin of a butterfly wing. He recalls, I’m told, an occasion when Diamond treated him like a failed bond dealer in front of officials during a No 10 summit. He who laughs last, etc.
The Tory infantryman Tobias Ellwood, on the other hand, has a suspect memory. The one-time Royal Green Jackets captain was overheard expressing pride in troops parading under Big Ben. Hmm . . . the Bournemouth blusterer led the campaign to rename the Clock Tower the Elizabeth Tower in honour of Her Maj. Capt Ellwood’s failure to use the correct designation suggests it’ll never catch on.
The sad death at 57 of Marsha Singh, four months after he resigned in Bradford West, prompted a Labour snout to mutter that the ex-MP’s passing proved Harriet Harman wrong. Bradford’s by-election brought the third coming of “Gorgeous George” Galloway after he showed no Respect to Labour’s candidate, Imran Hussain. Harperson had questioned Singh’s retirement on grounds of ill-health, suggesting it smacked of an old-fashioned fix to deliver the seat to Hussain after she failed to secure a women-only shortlist. The end of Singh, a kindly man, settles that.
Disbelief, too, at Labour HQ that Alun Michael, who wants to be police commissioner of South Wales, is claiming that it would’ve been a fix to use a wimmin-only list to select a replacement in his seat of Cardiff South and Penarth. Michael was the beneficiary of the mother of all Millbank fixes that foisted him on an unwelcoming electorate as the first first minister of Wales. By happy coincidence, the Labour standardbearer selected for the looming byelection, Stephen Doughty, was championed by Michael. No stitch-up there, then.
The Labour warhorse David Winnick has been asking why Cameron is accompanied by armed detectives in secure parts of the House of Commons restricted to MPs. The PM may be more wary of right-whingers than we appreciated.
The parliamentary pop group MP4 is printing T-shirts for a tour of the Labour, Con and SNP conferences. No Lib Dem gig? The Labour guitarist Kevin Brennan replied it was cancelled due to lack of principles. Ouch!

Here is a view of the botched contract from an academic. Ilan Oshri of the School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University talks here about bad management on both customer and supplier sides and questionable integrity on the supplier side.

Professor Ilan Ohsri says:

"The fiasco we have seen with G4S is a result of bad management on both sides, the UK Government as the client and G4S as the vendor.

"The Government should have set clear milestones and a monitoring system to help it detect challenges over time. Instead, the Government has treated executing this contract as 'one fewer matter to worry about' by outsourcing security to G4S.

"This is not how outsourcing should be carried out on the client side. G4S did not practice outsourcing as they should have.

"Holding up information about challenges they faced to recruit security personnel from their client raises questions about the integrity of this vendor. Clients should be wary of such vendors before trusting public safety or their business line in their hands."

Thanks, Andrew; this is probably the ad mentioned in the Metro.

Olympic Security and the Limits of Debate
The Editors, 27 July 2012
http://www.newsunspun.org/article/olympic-security-and-the-limits-of-d ebate?
'Our instructions from government are absolutely clear', explained Home Office security and counter-terrorism head Charles Farr to the BBC's Gordon Corera. '[O]f course the priority must be to save and protect life, but our priority should also be to keep the Games running. The Games go on'.
The need to secure the Olympic stadium and to ensure the safety of games-goers is, naturally, a priority for an event of this magnitude. However, in the lengths we are willing to go to for this security, it seems an assumption that anything goes. Should we perhaps pause for thought before we surrender certain civil liberties in the name of security? Discussing the surface-to-air missiles placed on residential buildings in East London, a BBC reporter embodied what seems to be an official principal of the Olympic project when it comes to public concern over the impact of such measures: 'people are just going to have to make allowances'.
Avoiding the implications of the terrorist threat
Why is it felt that the London Olympics requires such a level of military protection? And what form should the defensive measures take? Neither question is up for debate in the mainstream news, despite very relevant, recent, historical evidence to inform the former.
Gordon Corera, BBC News Security correspondent, writes: 'The shadow of terrorism has hung over the Games for a reason. The day after London won its Olympic bid on 6 July 2005, suicide bombers struck the city.' Referencing the connection between the terrorist attack then and the need to protect now, the underlying reasons were still not explored. Shortly after the bombings, the BBC News website published the text from the videotape made by one of the bombers. 'Your democratically elected governments continuously perpetuate atrocities against my people all over the world', he told the camera. This was undoubtedly a reference primarily to the UK's involvement in the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. A clear evidential link is shown here between British foreign policy and the last terrorist attacks on London, yet no BBC journalists have so much as drawn a connection between the continued British occupation of Afghanistan and the installation, now, of such a high level of security for the Olympics; not once is reference made to the British occupation of Afghanistan in any BBC coverage of Olympic security.
A large part of the reason for this disconnect may itself lie in the nature of the war reporting on Afghanistan, which most journalists seem to conform to, the underlying premise of which is that the occupation is sustained due to the benign intentions of the British government to assist the people of Afghanistan in nation-building, establishing democracy, and the ‘transition’ of control from NATO to Afghan forces. The mainstream media’s portrayal of the motivations behind terrorist attacks on western countries has not advanced far past the vacuous sentiments expressed by George Bush in 2001: ‘They hate our freedom, our liberty, our way of life’, and in Tony Blair’s address as Britain launched its attack on Iraq in 2003: ‘Both [Iraq and terrorist groups] hate our way of life, our freedom, our democracy’; journalists make little effort to explore the possible reasons behind the attitude of extremist groups towards the west.
To venture in to this issue would fly in the face of the grounding assumption that the west only acts in good faith with its military adventures – an unacceptable premise to challenge in the news.
G4S – Framing the issue around incompetence
G4S has received much scrutiny in the media following its failure to provide sufficient security for the Olympic Games and the resulting inquiry by the home affairs select committee. Coverage has discussed the ‘humiliating shambles’ (as put by G4S chief executive, Nick Buckles, in an attempt to salvage his career) of G4S’s inability to fulfil its contract.
What has not prompted such outrage in parliament, and in the media, is the company’s record of involvement in human rights abuses. In June, Laurie Penny wrote in the Independent of the ‘potentially lethal techniques they said were being used to restrain asylum-seekers’ and the G4S ‘security at jails for Palestinian prisoners, including child detainees’, but this has received little mention elsewhere in the media.
A ‘G4S profile’ by the BBC discusses the ‘conduct of G4S’s security staff’, mentioning the death of Angolan asylum seeker, Jimmy Mubenga, while being deported from the UK by G4S in 2010. It is eye-opening that the BBC only fleetingly discusses this (G4S subsequently lost its contract and the case has otherwise not been drawn upon in BBC coverage of G4S), but, along with the rest of the UK media, has devoted such time to the business failures of the company. Such a record by the company awarded the Olympic contract and now bidding for prison contracts, receives hardly a whisper in the media. To contrast this with the outrage G4S faces when unable to deliver on its contract, it is clear where priorities lie.
Jim Naughtie, on the Today programme, said of Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and David Cameron: ‘They all know what it [the Olympics] means’. It is used as ‘an advertisement for this country and to show the world what we can do’. The media’s approach diverges little from that of consecutive governments, playing a significant role in creating just such an ‘advertisement’.
The issue of the militarisation and securitisation of East London is depoliticised for consumption in the news. Offering context to the need for such a high level of security, or discussing the practices of the private firm we trust with its provision, would no doubt create alternative narratives about the impact and legacy of the London Olympics.

I wonder what precautions the 'Authorities' have made re a mortar attack?:

http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/m120.htm

http://articles.janes.com/articles/Janes-Infantry-Weapons/82-mm-mortar -bombs-Russian-Federation.html

http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/ground/m224.htm

Not that I am not completely aware that any attack on the UK Olympics will, if it occurs, be perpetrated by the NWO as the a**oles who gave us 9/11;7/7;USS Liberty; Lavon Affair (nice way of putting it, no?); Bali Bombing; Spanish train bombings; 2 'Bush' Election Thefts; 'Gitmo', Abu Ghraib, Bagram, 'Extraordinary Rendition', Drone Assassinations and so forth.

To say nothing of an attack on the 'nuclear fuel' rail transfers just north of the area, which could be hit with devastating consequences for London (perhaps they will be shelved, or perhaps even permanently prohiibited)?
I'm sure if they were prohibited, that would be one really lasting 'Legacy' from the 'Games' that will be appreciated by Londoners.

Olympics tries to go 'cashless': (a la Nick Rockefeller prediction to Aaron Russo):
http://www.psfk.com/2012/07/cashless-payments-olympics.html

They may have screwed up this time, but what the Banksters and other NWO bozo's want, they tend to get, so they seem to be rolling ahead on all fronts.
J. C. Penney are also attempting to go cashless by 2014.

It's rather odd they haven't advertised their free burial plans; come to the Olympics, get to share a free 'Casket Liner'!
The price of funerals these days (and, like everything else, rising) I should think people would jump at the offer (well, maybe even 'Sheeple' aren't that stupid!).

At a talk given at the Holiday Inn, Camden Lock, on the Wednesday evening before the Olympics began undercover reporter Ben Fellows and radio journalist Tony Gosling give their accounts of the alternative media story that was the prelude to thousands of military personnel and police being drafted in to take over from private security firm G4S. Ben describes conditions a month before the olympics with his security training being a total shambles and as he says himself - all a terrorist needed to do to get into the olympics was to join the queue.
Tony Gosling then goes on to scope out the mainstream media landscape in Britain puncturing that illusion that we have a free press in the UK and also to look at the wider context, the financial crisis, impending war in the Middle East and the decent of the benchmark BBC into dumbed down trivia over the last 25 years since Victor Rothschild asked Marmaduke Hussey to sack the BBC's last truly independent Director General Alasdair Milne. http://radio4all.net/index.php/program/61831

Viewpoint: G4S and the echoes of the East India Company

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19077733

The recent discussions around the G4S Olympic security scandal highlighted two jaw-dropping facts, writes historian Michael Wood.

The first was that Britain still has the fourth largest military budget in the world, behind the USA, China and Russia.

In these days of gloomy introspection about the decline of the UK's military might, it was to say the least, a surprise.

But the second was no less amazing - that the personnel of G4S, a private British security company, is four times larger than the British Army.

Mmm, the so called British Army is private to the so called crown just like G4S etc, etc.

The real 'Terrorists' don't need to queue; they have security passes and are waved through (or go in via the 'VIP' lounge).
Alternatively, their pre-planted bombs, chemical, nuclear or biological material has been pre-planted, under protected admission and access to the target site.

The reason the Olympic security is a total sham is that the PTB know the only attacks will come from their Masters, and they and their families will not be among the victims, IF there is an attack.

Of course, we could be being led up the garden path, in a ploy to discredit the Truth Movement; time will tell.

Agreed in part.

IMHO, the reason the story went big with the msm is that it sells to the public the meme of "Terrorism" (but not the real Terrorists) and at the same time if the public accept more security measures it will prevent attacks; not only at the Olympics but in the future. If there is no event at the Olympics the msm will/could claim what a successes the "security" was (also possibly due to this "leak" which strengthened the "security"). If there is an event at the Olympics they could claim that it "security" needs to be strengthened further. So it's a win win for the so-called ptb either way to take more of our liberties away for more control of the robots.

That was a classic line by someone when asking questions at that meeting "Robots."

Tony did ask at the meeting, is the/this "security" a good or a bad thing. There was what seemed like an Intuitive silence as people sensed, all is not well. I don't know if anyone spoke up later even if they did seem to question in their mind is it good or bad.

The Oktoberfest Bombing
Both the conspiratorial mode of behavior of the neo-nazi terror group and its “propaganda by deeds” approach point to earlier manifestations of right-wing terrorism, particularly by neo-fascist groups in Italy. But there is also a German precedent of right-wing terrorism: The bombing of the Munich Oktoberfest in 1980, in which 13 people were killed and 211 wounded.
Among the dead was Gundolf Köhler, who was officially declared the “lone assassin”. However, Köhler had connections to various neo-nazi groups. He had participated in paramilitary trainings of the neo-nazi “WSG Hoffmann” group. Another link was to the right-wing extremist Heinz Lembke. When Lembke was arrested – a year after the Munich bombing – he led the police to a total of 33 secret weapons caches in northern Germany, where automatic weapons, large quantities of ammunition, 250 hand grenades, 150 kg of TNT and bazookas were hidden. Shortly thereafter, Lembke committed suicide in prison. The two chief suspects being dead, the case was closed in 1982.
Now, 31 years after Munich Oktoberfest bombing and 29 years after Köhler was officially declared “lone assassin”, the Bavarian State Parliament and the Munich City Council have – both by unanimous vote – demanded that the judicial investigation into Oktoberfest bombing shall be reopened. And, that the evidence of its neo-nazi background, accumulated over the years by journalistic investigators, historians and lawyers of victims of the bombing, be reviewed.

Neo-Nazis 'helped to carry out Munich Olympics massacre'
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/neonazis-helped-to-carr y-out-munich-olympics-massacre-7857360.html
Intelligence files claim Palestinian terrorists were aided by rightwing extremists in Germany
Tony Paterson - Berlin - Monday 18 June 2012
German neo-Nazis helped the Palestinian terrorist organisation Black September to carry out the infamous massacre of 11 Israeli athletes during the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, intelligence files released nearly four decades after the killings revealed yesterday.
Details from a hitherto secret, 2,000-page document on the massacre, held by Germany's Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, were published by Der Spiegel magazine ahead of the 40th anniversary of the Israeli athletes' deaths this September.
Two Israeli sportsmen died in the initial hostage-taking. Nine more were killed during a bungled rescue attempt by German police at Munich airport in which five terrorists were also shot dead.
Israel has been lobbying for a minute's silence to be observed in memory of the massacre at this summer's Olympic Games in London.
Until now it had been assumed that Black September, which some historians claim was linked to the Palestinian Fatah party – bore sole responsibility for the kidnapping and murders which were carried out in an attempt to secure the release of 234 Palestinians held in Israeli jails.
But according to the newly-released German intelligence file, neo-Nazis also helped to prepare the massacre and planned to carry out further terrorist acts in Germany to avenge the police killing of Palestinians in Munich.
The file showed that Abu Daud, the Palestinian behind the massacre, travelled to Germany to plan the attack in July 1972. He was assisted by Willi Pohl, a known German neo-Nazi. It was not clear whether other neo-Nazis were also involved.
The documents cited police in Dortmund who kept Daud under surveillance. They said he met Pohl several times and that the neo-Nazi boasted to his employers about his contacts with a radical wing of the Palestine Liberation Organisation.
Der Spiegel said the police report was widely circulated, but there was no evidence the intelligence services made any attempt to find or arrest Daud. The Palestinian was apparently able to prepare his plan to attack the Munich Olympic village undetected, the magazine reported.
The files revealed that Pohl put Daud in touch with an expert in counterfeiting passports and other official documents, and acted as his personal chauffeur. Pohl, who has since renounced terrorism and neo-Nazi activity, is now a crime writer who has assumed a new name. He told Der Spiegel: "I drove Abu Daud all over Germany and he held meetings with Palestinians in various cities."
He claimed he was linked to the Munich massacre "without knowing it".
The documents showed Pohl was later involved in a plan by Palestinian activists to carry out a series of kidnappings at Cologne cathedral and town halls across Germany, which were meant to avenge the deaths of Palestinians shot dead by police after the Munich massacre. Pohl was ordered to carry out the attacks by Abu Jihad, then the deputy of PLO leader Yasser Arafat. But he was arrested in Munich in October 1972.
Police found he had hand grenades, firearms and a threatening letter from Black September addressed to a judge who was preparing to bring charges against Palestinians involved in the Munich massacre. The documents also suggested Pohl helped to procure weapons that may have been used in the Munich massacre itself.

Terror-free Olympics was no accident - officials

The rooftop missiles might have scared them off. Then again, it might have been the imposing warship or the army of undercover agents. Whatever the case, London's Summer Olympics have been terror-free so far.

The success of the Olympic security operation, however, was not an accident. It involved years of planning and steady diligence.

A day after Britain won the Olympic bid in 2005, homegrown suicide bombers struck during London's morning rush-hour. Because of it, Britain's security, intelligence and eavesdropping agencies - MI5, MI6 and GCHQ - have since received more money, manpower and equipment and thwarted dozens of terror plots - a major factor they say has helped to keep the games safe.

But with post-Olympics celebrations stretching into the week and the Paralympics not wrapping up until September, Britain's security officials say their job is far from over.
Hundreds of personnel have been told to forget about vacations until next month. And the private security contractor for the Olympics, G4S, says some 5,000 guards will be on hand for the August 29-September 9 Paralympics.

"There is an ever-present risk in this country and that is something we will have to be aware of," Britain's policing minister Nick Herbert said.

Britain was America's closest ally in Afghanistan and Iraq, making it a prime target of Islamic terror groups. And dozens of recent terror plots, including the 2006 plot to blow up nearly a dozen trans-Atlantic airliners, have been hatched within Britain's sizeable Muslim population, more than 1 million of whom have ties to Pakistan.

Some minor incidents did happen - an Olympics security trainee was charged with making a bomb threat ahead of the games, three Muslim men were charged for heckling soldiers guarding Olympic venues over Britain's involvement in Afghanistan and a G4S guard spat at a serviceman. And weeks before the games, G4S had to admit a shortfall of security workers, but the military stepped in to make up the difference.

The only suspected terror plot that came close to involving British interests happened overseas, when Spanish authorities took two Russians and a Turk into custody last week. Two European security officials who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorised to talk to the press said the plot involved possible targets in the British territory of Gilbraltar.

Although there were no credible or specific plots aimed at the Olympics, police arrested dozens of terror suspects prior to the games. Many of those suspects have since been released.

A senior Iraqi intelligence official told The Associated Press that about one month before the opening of London Olympics, Iraqi authorities provided Britain with information about contacts between terrorist groups in Iraq and the UK. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to release the information.

British officials got an expected an increase in tips and intelligence ahead of the games, but some of the tips never came to anything.

"Over the years, we've managed to make Britain a difficult place to operate in if you're a terrorist," a British security official told the AP on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to speak to the press. "The security around the games has also been an off-putting factor. But the threat still is, and has been, real."

Since the 2005 suicide bombings, Britain has seen several serious terror plots hatched on its soil.

In a plot that had a far-reaching impact on air travel, British and American investigators in 2006 thwarted attacks against several trans-Atlantic jets by terrorists using liquid explosives.

A year later in 2007, a man tried to drive an explosive-laden vehicle into a Scottish airport while another tried to blow up a car outside a London nightclub.
Dozens more plots have followed since, including a 2010 plot to attack the US Embassy and the London Stock Exchange.

Al-Qaida, whose leadership has been weakened by strikes that have killed top leaders and strategists, has traditionally gone for softer targets rather than big security events like the Olympics.

"It has become much more difficult for them to launch attacks and they know that they will be watched in Britain, so they look for other targets," said Noman Benotman, a former jihadist with links to al-Qaida who is now an analyst at London's Quilliam Foundation. "But they're still determined and I don't think it will be any time in the near future that they will give up on attacking the West."

Israeli terrorism experts said robust British counterterrorism efforts, coupled with a weakening of terror organisations abilities, have prevented attacks at the Olympic games in London.

"The British didn't leave any stone unturned," said Israeli terrorism expert Ariel Merari.

An official from Israel's Shin Bet intelligence agency, speaking anonymously because the official was not permitted to discuss the matter with reporters, said Israel and Britain cooperate on security issues but would not discuss Israeli tips on possible attacks.

At least some got it right IMHO, with it "Security" just taking our rights away (and designed to do so, like in a Nazi/Stazi state).

Some of these stories by activists and journalists have been kept low key.

Quote:

http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2012/08/13/256090/post-games-uk-fullblown -police-state/

Post Games UK: full-blown police state

London that is widely known as a perfect example of surveillance society with its watchful CCTVs, is now a perfect example of a police state after the massive Olympics militarization, a fact even organizers implicitly acknowledge.

Organizers decided earlier this year to dress the official mascot for the 2012 Olympics in London, where the security and surveillance cordon are nicknamed the Ring of Steel, in a Metropolitan police outfit.

The mascots, “Wenlock” and “Mandeville”, feature a huge single eye that is actually a camera lens that organizers said can “record everything.”

The dolls effectively create an explicit symbol of the pervasive surveillance state and suggest an unwelcome addition to British social life that is now subject to an even more intrusive surveillance system thanks to the biggest and most expensive British security operation in decades for the Olympics.

The irony has been taken up by critics of the Games.

“Water cannon and steel cordon sold separately. Baton rounds may be unsuitable for small children. A more perfect visual metaphor for 2012, I cannot imagine,” Games Monitor mocked.

One can only appreciate what the Olympic mascots have been ironically symbolizing when a few figures on the military deployment during the Olympics are taken into consideration.

The British government deployed more than three times as many regular troops as former US president George W. Bush administration did in 2002 for the Winter Olympics at Salt Lake City, which began only six months after the 9/11 incidents and four months after the US invaded Afghanistan.

A total 41,000 troops, police officers, private security staff, etc were deployed in London.

There also comes a long list of equipment on the ground and in the air: a Navy aircraft carrier HMS Bulwark and the force’s largest warship HMS Ocean will watch the city, Typhoon fighter jets, Apache Helicopters, eagle-eyed surveillance drones and E-3 Sentinel spy planes will swarm the skies, radars and surface-to-air missiles will scan the skies while an 18km, 5,000-volt electrified security barrier partitions off the Olympic zone.

The police state was further intensified by a de facto suspension of civil liberties.

Public protests were banned -- and remain so -- during the Games in “exclusion zones” near key locations and protesters face police with enhanced powers including the right to use force to enter private properties, seize political posters and prevent the display of any material that challenges the image of London as a “clean city”, which advertising sponsors including McDonald’s and Coca-Cola kept promoting.

Security measures also included new police checkpoints, number-plate and facial recognition CCTV systems, biometric ID cards and disease tracking systems.

And is that all set to be removed now that the Games have ended?
The answer is no as there are speculations that the government is using the opportunity to impose limitations on the British social life that would be otherwise impossible thanks to civil rights campaigners.

The idea for the continuation of the draconian measures would be that Britain faces threats from terrorists lurked inside its own cities and increasingly bigger surveillance would be needed to predict and contain such threats.

Here, victims would be the ethnic minorities and in particular Muslims.

The police did announce in May 2011 that 290 CCTV cameras formerly installed in the Muslim areas of Birmingham will be back online for the Games and there is no end visible to the extra surveillance.

What is more is that Olympic hosts have been unwilling to shelve the security measures taken up for the Games as the example of Greece’s high-tech surveillance cameras showed back in 2004.

After all, dissent is not desirable especially in the surveillance society of Britain and police began preparing London for the Games by predicting crimes early before the Games.

Back in July, officers reportedly arrested several graffiti artists in pre-emptive raids, which serves as a good example of the state intrusion into legal private activities of individuals in the police state the Olympics have helped intensify.

After media reports of 30 arrests, police claimed they arrested only four people for illegal wall paintings.

However, one of the detainees Darren Cullen turned out to be a known graffiti businessmen whose company Graffiti Kings has carried out graffiti projects for big names including Microsoft, Olympic sponsor Adidas and even for Team GB.

In a separate incident in Cardiff in July, police faced human rights campaigners’ call not to turn the city into a “police state” after a WalesOnline journalist was stopped and searched outside their headquarters.

The concerned journalist said he was “shaken up” by the police behavior and their violation of their guidelines.

“Working in the city centre, it feels like this place is turning into a police state,” he added.

That was echoed by anti-surveillance campaigners Privacy International.

“Olympics shouldn’t be an excuse to turn Britain into a police state,” it said.

Another angle on this "security" seems to be about clamping down on petty criminals on the cheap as forced austerity takes hold by the bigger criminals.

(they're advertising for jobs in my area, and thanks to Nick Kollerstrom and/or Tony Farrell, the police chiefs all around the country have been informed of the situation with false flag terrorism and murderous traitors)

G4S advertises for staff to help police investigate crimes

Company at centre of Olympic security fiasco seeks 'civilian investigators' to work on 'sensitive high-profile cases'

G4S, the company at the centre of the Olympic security fiasco, has started to recruit staff to carry out criminal investigations for a police force, with duties that include house-to-house inquiries, giving evidence in court and undertaking "sensitive high-profile cases under limited supervision".

The news comes as two Cabinet ministers said the G4S failings at the Olympics had caused them to think again about how private contractors should be used.

The G4S adverts for "civilian investigators" to work on long-term "open-ended" contracts based in local investigation units throughout the Warwickshire police force first appeared last Wednesday on the G4S Policing Solutions website. They appear to push new boundaries in the debate over police privatisation during which ministers have said that "core policing" tasks will not be put out to tender.

G4S boss Nick Buckles last month accepted when questioned by MPs that the company's failure to produce enough staff for the Olympics had been a "humiliating shambles". On Tuesday cabinet ministers Philip Hammond and Jeremy Hunt said that the outcome of the £284m G4S Olympic security contract had caused them both to "think again" about the default use of private contractors.

The Police Federation said it hoped the home secretary, Theresa May, would "take credence of this move" to recruit in Warwickshire and ensure that domestic security was undertaken by public servants who were fully trained and accountable for their actions.

Warwickshire police confirmed the move, saying they needed to recruit additional staff "from time to time" to meet specific operational needs and that recruiting them on a contract basis gave the force flexibility.

"The requirements of the work we are currently recruiting for requires specialist investigative skills, but does not require the full warranted powers of a police officer," said a Warwickshire police spokeswoman.

Recent Home Office figures show that Warwickshire police have lost more officers than any other force bar one, despite being the smallest in England and Wales with only 802 officers remaining, down from 1,000 in 2008. The force needs to find £10m of further savings by 2015.

The G4S advert says the civilian investigators to be based in Nuneaton, Rugby and Leamington will investigate crime, gather evidence, seize and view evidential material, take statements from victims and witnesses, undertake house-to-house inquiries, prepare files for the Crown Prosecution Services, attend court hearings and give evidence, and identify and trace offenders.

It says the jobs would be "ideally suited to experienced ex-police" and successful applicants would be required to "undertake sensitive high-profile case inquiries, be able to carry out any role within a major incident room, and have specialist knowledge on all aspects of crime investigation".

James Plaskitt, the Labour candidate for police and crime commissioner in Warwickshire, said: "Anyone reading that job description would think it was the definition of a police officer's work. Well, it is. It suggests to me that we have indeed lost too many officers in Warwickshire as a result of government-imposed cuts, and now the force is turning to G4S to plug the gaps."

He added: "If we need people to work on 'sensitive high-profile cases' I would rather have the reassurance that these are fully integrated police officers, not staff answerable to G4S. Policing should be for public protection, not for profit."

Despite the fact that the advert says that G4S Policing Solutions is "currently recruiting" for the posts and invites applicants to email the company, Warwickshire police said G4S was only acting as an agency site.

"Warwickshire police has a contract with the national recruitment agency Reed who in turn advertise on a number of agency sites, including G4S. Staff employed on a temporary basis are contracted to Warwickshire police by Reed, and will be vetted by the force in respect of their suitability. They will be answerable to the force in respect of their work," said its statement. The jobs did not appear to be advertised on the Reed website.

"Warwickshire police is currently recruiting investigative staff in order to continue to focus on those criminals who commit acquisitive crime, which includes house burglary, car crime and robbery," the force added.

Tony did ask at the meeting, is the/this "security" a good or a bad thing. There was what seemed like an Intuitive silence as people sensed, all is not well. I don't know if anyone spoke up later even if they did seem to question in their mind is it good or bad.

I'll take that back now as I went on what was said on this link http://radio4all.net/index.php/program/61831

But have just seen this where Tony gives his view which I disagree with.

I totally disagree that the security would/or could ever (supposedly "wide open" or not) have stopped any false flag terrorism; by definition as its done by corrupt elements of the organisations involved in organising such events.

These chaps seem to have it right IMHO.

Have another think about this Andrew.
The army were brought in at the eleventh hour.
The British Army have themselves been involved in False Flag Terrorism so know how it works. Like most organisations, eg the police, they are not all bad, but a mixture of good and bad people.
Do you think they would take kindly to someone trying that trick on them?
Successful false flags rely mainly on two elements as I see it... suprise and credulity.
The whole idea of the False Flag and Self-Immolation Gulf of Tonkin type attack is going past its 'shelf life'.

You think it's not significant then that the Israeli President had to cancel his visit to London after being told he could not stay overnight in the Olympic park?

As I said days ago, I suspect the G4S situation was planned from the outset as a way to introduce the idea of an increased military role in public life. If you tie together the facts: G4S' 11th hour admission they couldn't cope, the ease with which the military stepped in, the BBC report in which they quoted the IRA period when uniforms weren't worn in public, Daulby's statement, the MOD's contradictory statement with Hammond's idiotic self-contradictory bs, it's pretty obviously planned.

I have Tony and disagree with you and agree with the comments above and the film by Benjamin Wolfson - Steve Jolly. And with many other activists and some other alternative journalists.

I think you need to ask yourself how compartmentalisation works along with idolatry that people practice. I'm very surprised by your statements Tony as you should know how corrupt M15 etc can be even with their own country men and the planning that's involved with false flag inside jobs and subsequent cover ups.

Quote:
The real 'Terrorists' don't need to queue; they have security passes and are waved through (or go in via the 'VIP' lounge).
Alternatively, their pre-planted bombs, chemical, nuclear or biological material has been pre-planted, under protected admission and access to the target site.

The reason the Olympic security is a total sham is that the PTB know the only attacks will come from their Masters, and they and their families will not be among the victims, IF there is an attack.

How does your stance stand with this by outsider.

Here's Ben's article - as spiked by Dominic Ponsford at The Press Gazette

An Undercover Olympian Odyssey with G4S
19 July 2012 - By Ben Fellows aka. Lee Hazledean
In 2009 whilst athletes from all over the world trained hard for their Olympic dream I began my Olympic training by gaining a Security Industry Authority license. After an intensive five day course, an exam and a criminal records bureau check I was rewarded with a blue badge which included my photograph and I was all set to begin work gaining experience in the security industry.
My plan was to join G4S as a Security Officer and investigate claims that the company cut corners, treated their staff appalling even killed people through negligence. I was actually quite sceptical whilst I prepared to go undercover after all this was the Olympic Games. I was certain everything that G4S did would be by the book with every "i" dotted and every "t" crossed. More often than not you can join a company or organisation as an investigative journalist and not find a single incident of wrong doing and it can be a complete waste of time. Especially when nobody has asked you to go undercover you are simply following a hunch and hoping that somebody in a news organisation will be interested in running the story once you've completed your research.
At this point I should point out that when you go undercover as a journalist immense pressure builds on you from the very beginning. The experience is intense to say the least because at any moment you could be discovered. A few years ago I was doing a story about illegal farm workers run by the Polish mafia. Within a few hours of going undercover my equipment was found, I was held captive for several hours only to escape and take refuge in a nearby ditch waiting for my contact to arrive and pick me up which of they did twelve hours later. So I knew in order to join G4S I actually had to be a really good security officer in order to remain calm and to be able to do my two jobs, that of a journalist and that of a security officer.
Within a few short weeks of gaining my SIA license I was providing security for such celebrities as Jay Z, Thandie Newton, Lindsay Lohan, Kelly Rowland, Alicia Keys, Kevin Spacey, George Clooney, Mickey Rourke, Lily Allen, Kate Moss, Tom Jones, Pink Floyd to name but a few. I was able to gain access to extremely prestigious events such as Jemima Kahn's "Hoping Foundation" raising money for Palestinian refugees at her home Kiddington Hall. One of the highlights of 2010 was when I worked the Cartier International Polo event attended by HRH Prince of Wales, where I was in charge of a large team of security personnel. I worked hard building up my C.V working at Heaven nightclub in London, running a team of two hundred stewards at the Notting Hill Carnival and being head of security for the Turkish Presidential Sate visit at the Royal Institute of British Architects liaising with Royal protection officers at Scotland Yard. I was such a good security officer I even had regular clients and over a three year period, working part time I built my C.V and reputation up to be someone of impeccable manners and professionalism.
So on the 26th January after seeing that G4S recruitment had began for the London 2012 Olympics I travelled down to the Stratford Training Centre - a disused secondary school in Pitchford Street and joined a very long queue of other Olympic hopefuls.
The interview process was like a cattle market with people being herded from room to room. After filling out my C.V, references and giving the virtues of my character on the G4S intranet site I had officially applied for a role in the Olympics. The next stage was an interview and as I sat waiting for my turn I mentally reminded myself of some of my key security jobs and rehearsed the typical "Why I want a role as a security officer" question at the Olympics which they were bound to ask. My turn rolled round and a very professionally polite woman led me down a corridor to a room with cubicles set up. I was asked by the interviewer to smell what was in three cups which were sat at the back of the cubical. So I walked over and sniffed…I realised that one smelled like orange albeit a chemical smell, the second like lemonade and the other had nothing in so therefore smelt of nothing unless we were to include the paper cup smell, which we evidently weren't. I was then invited to sit down and she showed me a number and asked me to say what number I was seeing. The first number was a 1, the second an 8 and the third was a squiggly line that resembled a number seven. So I told her that the final number wasn't a number and she agreed. After a very quick sight test I was told that I had passed the interview and I should go and wait in the other room. A few moments later I was told that I could go home and wait for an email.
On the 16th February 2012 I received an email informing me that I was someone who they had identified, probably by my keen sense of smell because it certainly wasn't all the experience I had amassed on my C.V, who could work in their screener stream as they put it. Great I was in. On the 22nd of March I received a further email inviting me to my first two days of security training on the 3rd April entitled Skills For Security and 11th April Rapiscan Equipment Training which I was later to find out meant X-Ray operator Training.
On the first day of security training I rocked up to the Pitchford St secondary school to be met by G4S staff on the gate. After not having my bag searched or email read I walked straight through the security gate and into the non sporting Olympic venue. During the first day I was told that training was to consist of power point presentations with an automated voice to be supervised by ex-military personnel employed by Contemporary International, a G4S subcontractor. It became clear that training was to be very basic and for the first day we were told in mind numbing detail about the Olympic mascots and history of the Olympics, that there were 30 venues, 26 Olympic sports, 10.8 million tickets sold, 24,000 security personel, a television audience of 4 billion and if there was a bomb, it had ben factored into the system already which we came to understand meant already built into the stadium.
We were also told that there was an evacuation plan of London in place and that our job, should the circumstances arise, would be to assist the general public to leave London. Our trainer also went on to say that of the many terrorists trying to kill us all, thieves, journalists, protestors and muppets of the general public he was most concerned about us...the wannabe security personel. He felt that we were the most dangerous threat to the games as he felt that half the room was probably filled with terrorists wanting to train as security.
My fellow trainees were mainly from Asian and various African communities the majority of which didn't speak English and had no idea why they were there. There was one Polish man who in pigeon English proclaimed that he had been made a team leader and hadn't even passed his SIA license yet. This didn't go down to well with the ex Devonshire Police officer who hadn't been ear marked to be a team or group leader. When the trainer asked if anyone had a problem searching people with disabilities more than three quarters of the class raised their hand. A few African candidates found the idea completely offensive and the African contingent of the class descended into a debate about how disabled people had offending God in a previous life in order to end up disabled in this life; and that ended day one.
Day two consisted of another power point presentation this time about understanding the X-ray machine. I was with completely different people from the first day but still a few still managed to fall asleep. The presentation was a bombardment of information about the various colour coding of the materials the X-ray machine operator is faced with on the screen. Everyday objects became indescribable as the X-Ray operator has a matter of seconds to decide whether or not an object is a weapon, an IED, a prohibited/illegal item or a household object. To say that I found the presentation confusing was an understatement and by the end of the day I was sitting at a computer watching items flash up on the screen for thirty seconds and trying to make sensible decisions about each group of items but in truth I couldn't tell an IED apart from a IPOD. In fact it was like being taught Russian in a day and then expected to have a conversation with a fluent Russian speaker by the end of that day. I passed that section of the day and would be an X-ray operator in the pedestrian screening area. We were later told by a trainer that the programme on the computer wasn't actually working properly but it didn't seem to matter according the trainers.
I then heard nothing until I received an email on the 21st May inviting me to two more days of training on the 11th and 12th of June.
On the 11th of June we sat in the main hall of the school and listened to the trainers Nick and Tanya talk about how big the Olympic games set up was again. They talked about having 200,000 casket linings which I was to latter learn were plastic coffins that could fit up to four people in them, again we were told of the a plan to evacuate London and our involvement. They showed us a video of drone attacks in Afghanistan and told us that drones would be flying over the Olympics. I found this part particularly distasteful as we were subjected to seeing people being killed.
During the break one of the candidates was trying to sell drugs to the rest of the class. He saw me see what he was doing and came over and showed me a plastic bag of marijuana in his bag. Later Nick one of the trainer saw him during the class showing somebody else, the smell was pungent in the room, Nick the trainer simply looked at him and asked if he'd wait and do that in the break. I was gobsmacked but the trainer didn't care about anything other getting through the power point presentations for that day.
Nick our trainer said that we would have to wear our uniforms to and from from work as there were no facilities to change. I made the point that we'd be an easy target for terrorists to identify us, follow us home and use our families as pressure in order for us to help them. The trainer basically agreed and told me not to ask so many questions and to “be the robot” he illustrated this point by pretending to be a robot from the 1980's making everyone laugh.
Tanya told us at this point that we were all going to be involved in “a defining moment in the history of London” which would take place after the games. I asked whether she meant the Para-Olympics. She said no but again we'd all be involved and at that point she made everyone in the room applaude. Nick, the trainer, looked at me again and pretended to be the robot! During the afternoon we were quickly shown how to search someone with our hands and then using the wand. We were then split into groups of two to practise. Most people just had a laugh and joked around the hall waving the wand around. There was no attempt to actually teach anybody how to do it properly. I saw several people taking pictures on their mobile phones of the students, equipment, hall and trainers. The trainers specifically told us repeatedly not to use our phones or take pictures as they considered this a security risk. In fact Nick told us that there were “jammers” in the room and even though it would allow you to take a picture, send a text or maybe even make a phone call in a week your phone would shut down permanently. I queried this point with Nick and he admitted that there were no “jammers” and that it was merely a verbal deterrent. Both Nick and Tanya saw someone taking pictures and all they did was ask that person to delete the pictures on his phone which he did and then continued with the training.
In the afternoon there was another opportunity to do some more X-ray training which was even more confusing and didn't allay my fears about being responsible for spotting prohibited or illegal items let alone potential IEDs or weapons. On the computer screen everything looked like a weapon or nothing looked liked a weapon it was a surreal experience. During the entire day I had other candidates asking me whether I'd been selected to be a team leader, I heard stories of people collecting uniforms that they weren't entitled too; in fact throughout the day several trainers appeared to ask us if we'd seen certain people carrying away uniforms. Some candidates told me that they had been given the wrong accreditation passes, uniforms that didn't fit, X-ray operators panicking and asking whether I could do it, people were constantly complaining and worrying. By the end of the day I felt utterly exhausted with worry.
The next day I went back to find that we had an assessment. The trainers took us in small groups through into another room and watched as we conducted a search of a person and a bag. We also had to answer a few simple questions regarding sponsors and whether we could allow someone wearing a Coca-Cola T-shirt in or a Pepsi T-shirt into the games. During the bag search we were in groups of three with trainers standing in front of us. I saw a trainee just hold the bag and not search it. After the trainer said “it's all right mate I know what you mean” I remarked that I was glad that he knew what he meant because I didn't. I was just told to mind my own business. Later I found out from Dan another trainer that they had a no fail policy on candidates regardless of how bad they were or whether or or not they can converse in English. Everyone was to be passed.
During the afternoon we had been moved into the main pedestrian screening area in what was the quad of the school. A giant “bomb proof” tent had been erected and it was an accurate mock-up of where we would be working. Again I saw more people taking pictures of the area, trainers and students on their mobile phones. I was asked to be a would be terrorist and was given a gun to take through the X-Ray machine. We all had to play members of the public as well as security officers throughout the day. So I put the gun in my bag before putting my bag in a tray and sending it through the X-ray machine. I noticed the X-ray operator was not even looking at the screen as my bag including the gun went though. I informed the trainer of what had happened and he gave me a knife which in placed in my belt under my t-shirt, I still had the gun in my bag. My bag went through the X-ray machine unnoticed again this time with a different X-ray operator and I walked through the Walk Through Metal Detector (WTMD) without it going off. Again I informed the trainer that the WTMD had failed to go off he then gave me some keys to put in my pocket. Again the WTMD failed to go off and another X-ray operator failed to spot the gun in my bag or knife in my belt. Eventually the WTMD did go off but only after the trainer gave me his mobile phone. He remarked that these metal detectors “were nonsense”.
I was also given a fake IED to put in my bag and again I sailed through security. The trainer suggested to the security person watching me walk through the metal detector that I should be searched. He did and failed to find the knife, he then wanded me with the hand held metal detector and again he failed to find the knife. The operator had failed to turn on the hand held metal detector on. On every occasion throughout the day I along with everyone else I witnessed allowed IEDs, guns and knives through their PSA.
The trainers told us that 350 members of the public an hour would have to pass through our PSA in order to get them into the park. I said that was impossible as we would never be able to search that number of people in that amount of time. I was told that during peak times the Walk Through Metal Detectors would be switch off and in off peak times it would only go off once every fifty people regardless of whether they were carrying anything metallic. By the end of the day we had all been would be terrorists, members of the public and had individually had only around five minutes training on the actual X-ray machine looking at bags moving through the machine. At the end of the day we were informed that we were the best group that day and we were told to give ourselves a round of applause.
I was so appalled at the level of incompetence of my fellow candidates and the standard of training that I made the decision that I would break the story early instead of staying in the Olympics. With four weeks to go until the games I felt that once the story broke LOCOG would have chance to sort out the problem.
On June 13th I contacted Andy Davies Home Affairs Correspondent at Channel 4/ITN by email and a few hours later he called me back to discuss my brief email. I had dealt with Andy on other stories in the past about once a year for the past two years. On one occasion he helped me track down an old colleague who I needed some advice from. When Andy Davies called me back he informed me that Channel 4 News had a policy of not reporting negative stories about the Olympics and that there was a press blackout across the media and so he wouldn't be interested in doing this story on the Olympics. I found him quite rude and obnoxious and not the usually the friendly person who I had previously dealt with. I also emailed a number of other colleagues with the story and again I didn't get a response which was very strange.
On June 19th or thereabouts I saw Tony Gosling being interviewed on Russia Today regarding the Olympics so I decided to email him. Tony did get back to me and booked me to appear on his Friday Drive Time Show on the 22.06.2012.
On the 1st of July or thereabouts Andy Davies called me to ask me to retract my story as I had mentioned on the radio what he had told me on the telephone. When I didn't agree to retract my story which included me speaking to him at Channel 4 /ITNnews. I refused. I felt that Andy Davies would now reveal to G4S my identity as during the Tony Gosling interview I had appeared as Lee Hazledean to protect who I was with G4S as at that time I was still undercover.
Once my interview on Tony Gosling's radio show had gone out I was contacted by Tom Pettifor of the Daily Mirror who interviewed me on the telephone and then we met a few days later in Greenwich for a formal interview. He seemed excited when he left, even though he made no promises about running the story he was confident that it would run especially as I would put my face to the photograph. I felt that I would be protected if I went public with my Identity which of course I did on the Lou Collins Radio Show and the Alex Jones Radio Show on Infowars.
After meeting with Tom he sent me an email the next day stating that his editor wouldn't run the story. I was also contacted by Gareth Furby BBC London Correspondent who began to arrange an interview before he too backed out. I was then contacted by John Ward at the Daily Star with the same results.
On July 12th Louise Collins rang me to ask if I had appeared on SKY News anonymously as her listeners had felt that it was me going back undercover. I explained that I didn't know what she was talking about. She forwarded me that article which was a transcript of what had appeared on SKY News. Even though it was apparently a trainer from G4S being interviewed I felt that what he was saying sounded very much like me and that the story had been lifted in part from interviews on Infowars. There were a few minor details changed but the overall sense by me and anyone who had interviewed me were that they were my words and I felt it was perhaps SKY attempting to do damage control for G4S attempting to take the wind out of my sails so to speak as I was appearing on worldwide alternative media. However, the mainstream has failed to recognise that it was myself along with Tony Gosling who broke this story on the 22nd of June.
Today being 19th July 2012 I am receiving emails almost every hour from G4S asking me to confirm that I will be turning up for work for the Olympics......

There were lots of warnings from the Truth Movement about a series false flag at the Olympics. Some people warned their family and left London.

We were wrong.

Why were we so wrong?

Do we have any explanations about why this false flag didn't take place?

Simple that one.
The British Army took over the site with 3 weeks to go.
