|ANOTHER LONDON FALSE FLAG?
THE LATEST EVENTS ON LONDON BRIDGE OR SHOULD IT BE NOW CALLED BLOODY LONDON BRIDGE JUST DO NOT ADD UP ACCORDING TO HAQEEQAT TV A POPULAR AND HIGHLY INFORMED PAKISTANI INTERNET TV CHANNEL WITH EXPERTISE ON COUNTERING 5TH GENERATION WARFARE INFLICTED ON ISLAM AND MUSLIMS. HAQEEQAT CLAIMS THAT THE LATEST ATTACKS ARE A CLEAR CASE OF A FALSE FLAG TERROR ATTACK TO DEFAME MUSLIMS AND PAKISTAN. IT CLAIMS IT WAS A STAGED DRAMA WITH PAID ACTORS AND HAS BEEN COORDINATED WITH SEVERAL AGENCIES INVOLVED.
FIRSTLY ANY IMPARTIAL INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO QUESTION WHY THIS CONVICTED CRIMINAL WAS RELEASED EARLIER THAN MANDATED. IT IS TIME TO MAKE CLEAR THAT JOHN LOFTUS A FORMER US PROSECUTOR GENERAL CLAIMED THAT BRITISH INTELLIGENCE HAD BEEN USING BRITISH MUSLIMS TO FIGHT IN THE BALKAN WARS VIA FRONTS LIKE AL MUHAJIRUN OF WHICH USMAN KHAN HAS BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH. BORIS JOHNSON AL ZIONI A NOTORIOUS ZIONIST, RACIST AND ANTI-ISLAMIC CRETON HAS MANIPULATED THIS DRAMA AS SOME PRE-ELECTION STUNT. IT HAS BEEN USED OBVIOUSLY TO BLAME PAKISTANIS AND TAKE THE HEAT OFF NAZI MODI OVER KASHMIR.
IT HAS BEEN EXPOSED AS A FLOPPED DRAMA WITH THE USE OF PAID ACTORS. WHO REALLY BELIEVES THIS CHARADE AS WHY DID THE POLICE NOT USE RUBBER BULLETS ESPECIALLY IF THEY CLAIMED IT WAS A FAKE SUICIDE JACKET. IT IS ALSO INCREDULOUS THAT A WHITE MALE POLICE OFFICER ALLEGEDLY OFF DUTY IS SEEN TAKING THE BLOODLESS KNIFE FROM A CRIME SCENE AND RUNNING AWAY WITH IT. THIS ITSELF IS A CRIMINAL ACT AND HE SHOULD BE ARRESTED FOR INTERFERING INTO ANY CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION. WHO ACTUALLY AUTHORISED HIM TO DO THIS AND NOT BE ARRESTED. IT IS A CHARADE FROM TOP TO BOTTOM AND BRITISH AGENCIES HAVE BEEN EXPOSED. WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT M15 AND M16 ARE NOT PROTECTING THE BRITISH PUBLIC AND THERE IS A DERELICTION OF DUTIES. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME SECURITY SERVICES HAVE BEEN CRITICISED OVER INTELLIGENCE FAILURES AND MORE AND IT MAYBE TIME TO FOLD THEM UP. AS THEY ARE WASTING TAXPAYERS MONIES WHICH COULD BE BETTER SPENT ON MUCH NEEDED BASICS SUCH AS HEALTH, EDUCATION AND TRANSPORT. IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO SEE CAMPAIGNERS AT HUSTINGS DEMANDING THEIR DISSOLUTION AND LET THE POLICE TAKE OVER.
IN THIS CONTEXT IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT MUSLIMS NO LONGER REMAIN SILENT OBSERVERS AND JUST CONDEMN THINGS. INDEED THEY NEED TO BE ON THE FRONTLINE DEMANDING ANSWERS AND EXPOSING THE TRUTH NO MATTER WHERE IT LEADS AND THOSE RESPONSIBLE NEED TO BE HUNG AND QUARTERED. MUSLIMS CAN NOT CONTINUE TO REMAIN AS CANNON FODDER IN A PERMANENT WAR WHICH DEMONISES THEM AND ISLAM AND BOLSTERS THE RISE OF A SECURITY STATE

MUSLIM RESPONSE TO THE LONDON BRIDGE ATTACK 2019
Islam does not blame the innocent civilians, and Islam should not be blamed for the wayward actions of individual Muslims.
In the lead up to the general election, just as in the recent past, a lone attacker brings the debate about security to the fore, which will inevitably be jumped upon by the politicians whose domestic and foreign policies and securitisation of Muslims have made the world so dangerous today. The media and politicians are not learning the lessons of the past, continuing to allow individuals and elite groups to hijack policy for their own selfish gains. Muslims must not accept collective blame for the attack on London Bridge, nor should we allow ourselves to be pressured into supporting one candidate over another based on robust promises to be tougher on security. Muslims must empathise with the senseless and tragic loss life, while continuing to expose the rotten secular capitalist system that lies at the root of all criminality, exploitation and suffering in the world today.
The statement that we issued in 2017 remains true, with only the specific details changing. Our advice continues to be the same today as it did two years ago:
We do not accept the lie, that being a Muslim and living according to Islamic teachings makes us responsible for the violent acts of individuals. Millions of Muslims have suffered the consequences of military interventions in Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Libya, through loss of life, beloved relatives and property. Despite the chaos and bloodshed that the British government policies have spread in their lands, the Muslims living in these regions are focused on trying to rebuild their lands, not targeting innocent people in Britain or other states. It is a testament to the patience and steadfastness of the Muslims that so few have sought to use material means to exact revenge for years of death and destruction.
The victims of the attack are not to blame for the world’s ills, so should not be made to suffer for the crimes of others. Grievance and blame should be rightfully directed to the power-hungry elite establishment, who are responsible for colonial oppression overseas, and who use these incidents to sow distrust about Muslims to grab more power for themselves. They then use that power as a mandate for greater oppression of innocent people both in the UK and overseas; stifling dissent and stigmatising people who would challenge them at home.
The best means for victims of oppression to challenge such criminals and their policies is to expose the flawed ideology which on one hand preaches human rights, liberty and democracy, but in practice supports dictators through arms deals, trains their security services and carries out atrocities against civilians. The example of the recent Genocide in Burma is clear proof. The blood of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar is still fresh but Britain continues its support, training the Burmese military and turning a blind eye to Aung San Suu Kyi’s oppression.
To avoid scrutiny on their own policies, it’s convenient for the government that the Muslim community accept blame for this attack and other crimes, in order that we appear as a danger to ordinary people in Britain. Yet it is not Islam and Muslims that are a danger to British people. The Messenger Muhammad was sent as a mercy to mankind, to show people a way out of oppression and to stand up for justice. The only people who have ever rightfully feared Islam are the oppressors and exploiters of the world, who fear the loss of their power; were their crimes against humanity to be exposed.
The warmongers of the world Cameron, Blair, May, Trump, Bush, Obama; Hague and Johnson, along with those who profit enormously from lighting fires throughout the world and turning a blind eye to atrocities overseas, such as in Syria, Yemen, Kashmir, Palestine and Myanmar today. These are the only ones who should rightfully fear the Muslims standing up for justice, as Allah told us in the Quran to do so:
“You who believe! Be upholders of justice, bearing witness for Allah alone, even against yourselves or your parents and relatives…” [An-Nisa: 135]
We urge all people, Muslim or non-Muslim, to not accept collective blame for this attack against innocent civilians, just as we also do not accept that the British public bear collective blame for the oppressive colonial plans drawn up by the elite establishment, deceiving even their own people, purely for selfish interest and personal gain.
It is time to reject this narrative peddled by the establishment and their media outlets on the back of atrocities like this. The Islamic values are not responsible for this incident, nor for the misery that the world’s majority endure as a result of secular capitalist exploitation. Therefore, Muslims should stand proud of their belief and way of life. They should see that it is only Islam that is a solution to a world riddled with chaos, oppression, death and destruction.
“You who believe! Show integrity for the sake of Allah, bearing witness with justice. Do not let hatred for a people incite you into not being just. Be just. That is closer to taqwa. Fear Allah. Allah is aware of what you do.” [Al-Maida: 8]

|GLOBAL VISION 2000 ASKS IS THIS INDIA OR END-IA?
WHEN ISLAMOPHOBIA FACES ITS HIGH NOON
MODI'S BJP GOVERNMENT PUSHES HIS ANTI-MUSLIM CITIZENSHIP LEGISLATION WHICH EXCLUDES MUSLIMS ONLY SEEKING REFUGE IN INDIA. HOWEVER IT HAS TRIGERRED NATIONAL PROTESTS AGAINST SECULAR NATIONAL LAWS WHICH ARE DISCRIMINATING AGAINST INDIAN MUSLIMS. THIS LEGISLATION CAN NOT BE VIEWED SEPARATELY FROM WHAT IS HAPPENING TO KASHMIRI MUSLIMS, NOR THE SUPREME COURT DECISION ON THE BABRI MASJID NOR THE NATIONAL REGISTER FOR CITIZENSHIP WHICH IS ALREADY MAKING MUSLIMS IN ASSAM STATELESS. INDIA IS BECOMING AN INTOLERANT HINDU RASHTRA STATE AND IT IS BECOMING A NATION AT WAR WITH ITSELF. THE ZIONIST MODEL AND PRESCRIPTION IS BEING APPLIED TO INDIA BUT THIS IS NOT PALESTINE AND NEHRU'S INDIA IS BEING DISCARDED IN FAVOUR OF A INDIAN HINDU NATIONALIST ENTITY. THE TWO NATION THEORY AND VISION OF QUAID I AZAM MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH IS PROVING TO BE RIGHT COMPARED TO THAT OF GANDHI AND NEHRU. WILL INDIA BE ABLE TO SURVIVE AS ONE NATION? IS THIS INDIA OR END-IA? THIS URGENT QUESTION WILL BE REVIEWED.
'PEOPLE DYING': MALAYSIA's MAHATHIR SLAMS INDIA's CITIZENSHIP LAW
Amid protests in India, Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohamad questions 'necessity' of new citizenship law seen as anti-Muslim.
Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has criticised India's new citizenship law, which is seen as discriminatory against Muslims and has sparked deadly protests across the South Asian country. Speaking on the sidelines of the Kuala Lumpur Summit 2019 on Friday, Mahathir questioned the "necessity" of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), when Indians have "lived together for 70 years".
"People are dying because of this law. Why is there a necessity to do this when all the while, for 70 years, they have lived together as citizens without any problem?" he asked.

India top court refuses to stop citizenship law's implementation
Why are so so many Indians protesting against the citizenship law?
The CAA makes it easier for "persecuted" minorities from three neighbouring countries to get citizenship but not if they are Muslims. India sees deadly citizenship law protests as police ban assembly. The law has stoked fears that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to remould India as a Hindu nation and marginalise its 200 million Muslims, who form nearly 14 percent of India's 1.3 billion population.
"I am sorry to see that India, which claims to be a secular state now is taking action to deprive some Muslims of their citizenship," said the 94-year-old leader. "If we do that here, I do not know what will happen. There will be chaos and instability, and everybody will suffer."
Mahathir's comments came amid deadly protests in India over the CAA, in which at least nine people have been killed so far. On Friday, tensions prevailed throughout the country, including in capital New Delhi where several metro stations were closed and internet suspended in some areas to prevent demonstrations. Thousands of people in a Muslim-dominated district of the capital marched after the Friday prayers, some carrying a huge Indian flag, raising slogans against the Modi government. Protests continue to be organised in various Indian cities as authorities impose a ban on public gatherings and arrest hundreds of people. The United Nations has called the CAA "fundamentally discriminatory" while the United States's State Department has urged India to "protect the rights of its religious minorities".

PROTESTS PARALYZE INDIA AFTER RACIST ANTI-MUSLIM LAW PASSED
December 18, 2019
Modi's government using brutal violence against students and workers to stop demonstrations. Professor Sumit Ganguly examines the legal, moral and political significance anti-Muslim laws and the growing movement to oppose Hindu nationalism.
MARC STEINER: Welcome to The Real News. I’m Marc Steiner. Good to have you with us.
When India passed the new Citizenship Amendment Bill, nonviolent demonstrations erupted across the entire country over the course of last week in the process of confronting this new law that will give citizenship to new immigrants from neighboring countries as long as they are not Muslims. The process included demonstrations and strikes in public buildings. Hindus have joined Muslim demonstrators, saying this law violates the Indian Constitution and is a blatant attack on the rights of India’s Muslim citizens.
The repression against demonstrators by the Modi government has been swift and violent. Police attacked unarmed students. Over a hundred students have been injured at New Dehli’s Jamia Millia Islamia and Muslim University Aligarh. It continues. And Priyanka Gandhi, the General Secretary of the All India Congress Committee and opposition leader in the Eastern Uttar Pradesh Province participated in these demonstrations along with many other non-Muslim Indians, as we talked about before. She had this to say in the midst of that protest.
PRIYANKA GANDHI: The government has attacked students by entering universities. We will fight the constitution of India. We have said it time and again and we will fight against the government
MARC STEINER: We are now joined by Sumit Ganguly, who is Professor of Political Science and holder of the Tagore Chair in Indian Cultures and Civilizations at the Indiana University in Bloomington. His most recent book is The Future of ISIS. Sumit, welcome to The Real News. Good to have you with us.
SUMIT GANGULY: Thank you.
MARC STEINER: Let’s begin here. I think that the Congress party, those on the left and Muslims in India are protesting a violation of the constitution they say and discrimination against Muslims in India. At the same time, right wing demonstrators are also protesting the law because it grants citizenship to immigrants. So, let’s parse this out a bit. Can you tell us what’s really happening here? What’s at the heart of these protests and what’s the most important thing we should focus on?
SUMIT GANGULY: The protests as you correctly characterize differ depending upon which group one is focusing upon. On the one hand, there are people in the Northeastern state of Assam or aggrieved with this law because they fear that large numbers of poor migrants, regardless of their religious affiliation, are likely to move in to Assam from the neighboring Bangladesh and it may also grandfather people who had illegally migrated.
They are not so concerned about the religious composition of these people as much as the sheer numbers of people who could be or could become Indian citizens as a consequence of this law. On the other hand, you have people in the heartland of India, particularly in Uttar Pradesh and in the national capital territory of Delhi where you have a much more varied set of protesters who are protesting much more along the lines that Indian secularism is under attack.
Because the migrants from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan could be of any religious tribe as long as they are not Muslims. This has brought together a real wide coalition of individuals regardless of their religious affiliation, saying that the secular foundations of the Indian state are under attack and that’s why we are protesting this particular law.
MARC STEINER: When you look at this law, it seems to be part of a wider agenda of Prime Minister Modi and his BJP party that goes to the heart of annexation of Kashmir and the anti-Muslim citizenship laws in some providence. It appears like, as you were just talking a moment ago though, that an all out sectarian war targeting Muslims and others is kind of bubbling up as the enemy from within.
Yet the other hand, and you were pointing out, so many people who are not Muslim we’re joining in all these demonstrations at the universities and other places. Then BJP won with a fairly wide majority, it seems to me, given the election itself. So tell us just how is this political playing out?
SUMIT GANGULY: The way it’s politically playing out is the following. Obviously, the staunch supporters of the BJP are exceedingly happy with this law, with the revocation of the special status of the state of Jammu and Kashmir with the recent Supreme Court decision, which allows a Hindu temple to be built on the premises where a mosque used to stand, which was demolished in December 1992.
All of these things have made the supporters of the BJP, particularly the more ardent supporters of the BJP, exceedingly happy. On the other hand, large numbers of people in India civil society are acutely distressed with this turn of events because there’s a real danger of India being turned into a Hindu majoritarian state if all of these pieces of legislation and court decisions in favor of the BJP continue a pace.
MARC STEINER: The BJP, as we talked a minute ago, won these elections, as they wasted no time in implementing these anti-Muslim laws. The other question though I have is: is this part the only other Hindu nationalist agenda? But it seems like it’s part of this new worldwide kind of right wing alliance. Trump, the United States, Johnson and the UK, Bolsonaro in Brazil and all the rest were fiercely Islamophobic.
Perhaps it’s worth mentioning also the Indian Council in New York said the annexation of cashmere was inspired by the Israeli occupation of Palestine. So how much of this goes beyond do you think the borders of India and this world alliance? Again, politically, how do you think these things interact?
SUMIT GANGULY: I think that in many ways the actions of the BJP are possible not only because of their substantial majority in the Indian parliament with 303 seats out of her 545 seat parliament. But in addition to that, the global climate is creating permissive conditions. The United States, which are under a different administration, might have taken a very dim view of these developments in India and the state department probably would have spoken out with some vigor. There’s been a deafening silence.
Consequently, there are these permissive conditions which allow a right wing government and majoritarian government like that of Modi to proceed a pace, knowing perfectly well that the criticisms are going to be few and far between. Major countries like the United States are preoccupied with their own issues, particularly the impeachment. In Britain, there’s been an election with a right wing prime minister known for his mendacity, who’s come into office who could care less about the plight of Muslims in India.
One of the few countries that has spoken out is Germany under Angela Merkel. But, the vast majority of major countries have remained silent on this issue or have simply looked the other way. Consequently between a powerful majority at home and permissive conditions abroad, the BJB can proceed with these plans.
MARC STEINER: It seems if the Muslim community in the world at large, whether you’re looking at China or India or Burma, you could sense a feeling of discrimination and kind of pushing against the Islamic world. You could emotionally see that happening. I’m also curious, when you look at these demonstrations in India itself, as we talked about earlier, they cross a wide spectrum of people, and they’re standing up.
Whether they are Hindu or Muslim or Sikh, whoever they are, they’re standing up together against this law. So, what political dynamic inside of India itself is afoot? Does it mean anything in a larger political struggle in that country?
SUMIT GANGULY: Of course it does. For all its flaws, India has been a democratic secular state-
MARC STEINER: Right.
SUMIT GANGULY: …Against all odds. But now those values, those institutions, those principles are all under assault. They are facing literally a battering ram at the hands of the BJP. This has generated a counter reaction. Perhaps this might actually revitalize the principle opposition, the Congress party, which had been anemic and had been somewhat dispirited for some time and had been rather slow in the defense of secularism.
But this might be a wakeup call to the Congress party as was demonstrated by the fact that Priyanka Gandhi, one of the signs of the Gandhi family, actually went out to protest and joined the protesters and new Delhi’s cold. As your pictures show.
MARC STEINER: We’ll stay on top of this and watch this. Sumit Ganguly, we appreciate you taking your time with Real News today and look forward talking to you more as this unfolds and see what’s happening inside of India in the context of the entire international world and battling with right-wing governments. Want to thank you so much for joining us today. It’s been a pleasure to talk with you.
TUMULT IN INDIA
OVER the past week, Hindutva backed by the brute force of the state has bared its fangs in India. Hundreds have taken to the streets to protest the BJP-led government’s ill-planned moves of passing the Citizenship Amendment Act — which allows only non-Muslim refugees from some of India’s neighbouring states to apply for citizenship — and the introduction of the National Register of Citizens, widely seen as a fig leaf for stripping Indian Muslims of citizenship.
Clearly, there is an Islamophobic agenda behind these diabolical moves by the Modi clique, which is why India’s Muslims as well as conscientious citizens from other communities are protesting. Violence continued on Friday; at least 13 people have been killed in various cities so far, while hundreds have been temporarily detained as the state tries to put a lid on the protests. Curfew has also been enforced in certain areas, while the internet has been shut down in many cities.
While the Sangh Parivar was largely shunned in the post-independence era, because M.K. Gandhi’s assassin was an ideological child of the RSS, in today’s India, the storm troopers of Hindutva control the levers of state. It is no surprise then that ever since coming to power, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sought to remake India in the image of the Sangh — a Hindu rashtra to be built on the model of a fabled Vedic golden age. In this programme, there is no place for minorities, specifically India’s Muslims, hence the legal efforts to disenfranchise the community. However, though the Sangh ideologues are trying their best to label Indian Muslims as ‘outsiders’, history points to another reality. Islam has existed in the subcontinent for over a millennium, while Muslims have been living in what is now India for centuries. That should remove any lingering doubts about the right of India’s Muslims to citizenship of that country. No bigoted law can be allowed to deprive them of their identity and dispossess them from the land of their ancestors.
As India drops the facade of a secular democracy and champions the politics of hyper-nationalism, the international community needs to speak up. Under the Modi regime, Muslims have been lynched by vigilante mobs on suspicions of consuming or transporting beef and the world has kept silent. Under the BJP dispensation, India-held Kashmir has been under lockdown for months and its people held prisoner, but the world has looked away.
Now, as New Delhi lights the fires of communalism by disenfranchising millions of Muslim citizens, will the international community still keep silent? Moreover, questions of identity and citizenship are best left to academics to discuss. If zealots — guided by imagined histories — are put in charge of such sensitive matters, and worse, given the legal powers to decide who is and who is not a citizen, disaster is sure to ensue.
ITS NOW OR NEVER: WHY YOUNG, URBAN INDIAN MUSLIMS PLUNGED INTO THE ANTI-CITIZENSHIP ACT PROTESTS
Rehan Sheikh had been disturbed by the prospect of a nationwide National Register for Citizens since April when he first heard Indian Home Minister Amit Shah announce plans to bring in the Citizenship Amendment Bill. Addressing a public meeting then, Shah said the legislation would grant citizenship to non-Muslim refugees from Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan, and then flush out “infiltrators” through the NRC. In the following months, as the NRC was implemented in Assam and the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party government became more vocal about a nationwide citizenship register, Sheikh realised how closely it was linked to the passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill.
Yet, when the Bill was passed by Parliament and became an official Act on December 12, Sheikh was taken by surprise. “It happened so suddenly,” said Sheikh, a 30-year-old investment advisor working with a bank in Mumbai. “I always knew this was going to be a dangerous law, but I did not expect to be passed so quickly after they tabled it in Parliament.” Since then, like almost every other Muslim he knows, Sheikh has been brimming with feelings of anger, indignation, dread and a sense of urgency. These feelings have intensified after December 15, when the Delhi police unleashed an unprovoked assault on students of Jamia Milia Islamia University in Delhi, and students around the country began to protest in response.
For young, urban, middle-class Muslims like Sheikh, who had been more invested in their community’s educational and economic development than politics, the Citizenship Amendment Act and the police crackdown on protests have been an eye-opening jolt. “We have been silent about a lot of things for the sake of peace, including the Supreme Court verdict about the Babri Masjid,” said Sheikh, referring to the court’s decision on November 9 to hand over the disputed land in Ayodhya to the Hindu side. “But now it is a question of our very existence in this country. We have to speak out now.”
‘I cannot believe this is happening’
This “now or never” sentiment was palpable at Mumbai’s August Kranti Maidan on Thursday, when thousands of people across communities turned up to protest the Citizenship Amendment Act. Several protesters had never considered stepping out on the streets to raise slogans before, but now, for the first time, they felt compelled to raise their voices. “My family has never been interested in politics before,” said Alam Khan, a travel agent in his 30s. “My wife did not watch the news even when the Ayodhya verdict came out or when Article 370 was removed [in Jammu and Kashmir].” “But this time our community is directly being targeted, so many of my family members wanted to protest,” he said.
Khan’s personal desire to be vocal is rooted in both fear for his community and a rising sense of patriotism. “Muslims from my grandparents’ generation were not literate enough to preserve documents. How will people like us show proof of residence in India from the 1950s and 70s?” he said. “I cannot believe this is happening in my country – we cannot let it happen.” Firdos Farooqui, a medical doctor from South Mumbai, said that the protest at August Kranti Maidan was only the second time she ever felt the need to participate in a public agitation. “I had protested triple talaq last year because it is an un-Islamic practice, and now I am protesting CAA and NRC because they are against India,” she said. “I did not expect that the law would be passed so easily, without much opposition in the Parliament.” Like Farooqui, Farzana Khan, who had travelled for the protest all the way from the northern suburb of Mira Road, was also rattled by the idea of Indian Muslims being asked to prove their citizenship. “My father was a freedom fighter who won medals for this country,” she said. “What more do I need to prove?”
Wearing religion on one’s sleeve
According to 39-year-old Javed Sayed, it is the support of non-Muslim Indians that helped Muslims across the country to step out in large numbers and protest visibly in public. “I think Muslims had resigned themselves to a lot of injustice towards the community, so there were hardly any protests against NRC in these last few months,” said Sayed, a graphic designer from Mumbai. “But after CAA [Citizenship Amendment Act] was passed, when so many non-Muslims came out to speak for us and to support the students of Jamia, we found it easier to protest.”
Indian Muslims’ discomfort with public dissent is rooted in a history of bitter experiences with street protests, particularly since the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992. But some Muslims are now ready to discard the past and take control of their narratives. Journalist Humaira Ansari, for instance, said that after the Citizenship Amendment Act was passed, she decided to “stop giving a damn” about how other people perceive her political stances. “Earlier, whenever there were terror attacks and Muslim groups went out of their way to condemn the violence, I always felt uncomfortable about it,” she said. “I always questioned, why should we have to do it? Why should I have to wear my religion on my sleeve?” Ansari, 33, has had sleepless nights since the Act was passed. “Now I feel it is time for us to embrace our religion, to step out and say yes, I am a Muslim and I have a problem with the way Muslims are mistreated and targeted in this country.”

|IMPEACH OR DUMP TRUMP?
TRUMP AND THE USA HAS JUST COMMITTED ANOTHER INTERNATIONAL ACT OF TERRORISM BY DRONE ASSASSINATION ON GENERAL SOLEIMANI A TOP IRANIAN MILITARY GENERAL AND VIOLATED IRAQI NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY. THE USA IS ACTING AS A ROGUE NATION AND HAS SET A DANGEROUS PRECEDENT IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS. SO ARE THE AMERICANS READY FOR THEIR MILITARY AND POLITICAL LEADERS TO BE ASSASSINATED BY RIVAL FOREIGN POWERS?
YOU KNOW SOMETHING IT HAS STRUCK ME THAT THE USA REMINDS ME OF A SCHOOL BULLY BEHAVING AND REIGNING LIKE RAMBO WITH ALL AND SUNDRY COWERING FROM HIM. ALSO WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A NOTORIOUS LEGENDARY BULLY WHO ALWAYS FATALLY ATTACKS HIS VICTIMS LIKE THE COWARD HE IS BY BLAMING THEM FOR ATTACKING HIM. TRUMP STATES TODAY THAT "WE TOOK ACTION TO STOP NOT START A WAR". THESE ARE THE WORDS OF A DAJALLIC DEFIANT PSYCHOPATH AND HE REFLECTS A NATION WHICH IS IN AWE OF A FALSE PROPHET. BOTH THE LEADER AND NATION NEED TO BE WARNED THAT THEIR HUBRIS IS LEADING TO THEIR DOWNFALL. WHAT GOES UP COMES DOWN AND THAT MOMENT IS COMING TO A CLIMAX.
THE SCHOOL BULLY DOES NOT REALISE HIS DEMISE IS INSIGHT AND WHEN IT COMES IT WILL BE GOOD BYE TO BAD RUBBISH AND HIS NAME AND IDEOLOGY WILL BE BURIED FOREVER.
THE USA NEEDS TO REALISE THAT IRAN IS NOT A BANANA REPUBLIC AND IT IS PART OF A GEOPOLITICAL AND MILITARY ALLIANCE INCLUDING RUSSIA AND CHINA. THE USA HAS CONDEMNED ITSELF BY IT'S ACTIONS AND NOW WILL HAVE TO BEAR THE COSTS AND AS YET UNFORESEEN CONSEQUENCES. AS IRAN HAS DECLARED THAT USA INTERESTS WILL BE HIT THIS WILL DEFINITELY LEAD TO A USA-IRAN MILITARY CONFLICT. WHO STATED THAT THE WORLD IS RUN AS A KAKOCRACY IN WHICH THE WORST OF THE WORST ARE OUR LEADERS. IS IT NOT SURPRISING THAT THIS ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN BY A USA LEADER IN AN ELECTION YEAR FACING IMPEACHMENT. LIKEWISE THE ISRAELI PRIME MINISTER IS FACING CORRUPTION CHARGES RATHER THAN WAR CRIMINAL CHARGES WHICH WOULD BE MORE APPROPRIATE. THE DICE HAS BEEN ROLLED AND SET IN MOTION THE ZIONIST GAMEPLAN TO ESTABLISH ITS GREATER ISRAEL BY USING THE USA AND THEN DISCARDING IT AT THE RIGHT TIME. AS EVENTS ARE UNFOLDING FAST AND FURIOUS THIS WILL BE OUR FOCUS HEREAFTER.
US IS A ROGUE STATE THAT MUST BE CONTAINED
Daniel Patrick Welch
While most of the not-unhinged world sees the assassination of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s IRGC, for the reckless and dangerous escalation that it is, Americans in general walk around looking for post Christmas bargains. They shift distractions from New Year’s Eve to Valentine’s Day on cue, blissfully unaware that they are living on borrowed time, like the Eloi of Orson Wells' imagination.
As to the question of who in his right mind wants war with Iran, speculation settles into the common pitfall of Trump or the Deep State. Of course those surrounding Trump - including those he has chosen - are inveterate hawks on war with Iran. And he himself has been saber-rattling since the campaign. But it is more systemic than that. There is a sickness at the heart of US policy, and society.
The sickness is not just President Donald Trump, as self-serving Democrats conveniently allege. The problem is that the US apparently not only still abides by the Dred Scott decision, but is comfortable applying it worldwide: Nonwhites simply have no rights which the white man is bound to respect.
I’m paraphrasing and being a bit historically tongue-in-cheek, of course. But on purpose. The whole swath of US history comes down to this arrogance and supremacy: its absurd doctrine of “exceptionalism,” its one sided approach to world relations, its hysterical accusations against Russia, China and anyone else not on board with perpetual war.
The problem is that it has seeped so deeply into what for lack of better words might be called Americans” "political consciousness" (in truth they really have none). The result is that supposed "left" politicians, when they don’t openly support imperialist objectives, focus almost exclusively on domestic policies and injustices, as if all this could be happening in a vacuum.
Rose McGowan can tweet her apologies on behalf of sane Americans. Sure. She’s right. But again, even those with a conscience are too narrowly focused. In the last election, the Democrats” campaign was even more focused on “challenging Iran.” The fact is that US policy - and imperialism itself - is a thoroughly bipartisan effort. And voting Democrat isn’t going to do jack * to advance a peace agenda.
The US has honed and perfected a remarkable system - inherited from Europeans” idiotic race "science" of phrenology and other nonsense. The result is a near perfect conflation of class and race that keeps poor people from defending their own interests as long as they can be convinced someone is lower than they are in the pecking order. It’s genius. I mean in an evil sort of way. Like if Edward Bernays were your god or something. But the real terror is on the international stage, where the US is a rogue state, a contagion that must be contained and quarantined, like a patient infected with a virulent, airborne illness. Trump being Trump doubles down on the insanity, actually saying that “Soleimani should have been taken out many years ago.” Madness.
The rest of the world, led by China and Russia, is increasingly awakening to this critical historic role, and the US population continues to ignore its government’s crimes at its own peril and at the risk of increasing isolation from the sane world. In the not so distant future, when climate shift has rendered arable land unusable and the breadbasket turned into a desert, there will be nothing left but to eat their own billionaires for sustenance.
